Using adhesive to mount line hide?

Anybody ever use adhesive to mount line hide, rather than screwing it into your siding?

Line hide is pretty light weight plastic, right?

Any idea what adhesive would work? Would mastic tape work, or would it not stick to siding?

You could do that, but I would put a couple of screws for backup, the line hide actually need to hold some of the weight of the lineset, plus you need some decent holding power to install or remove the cover.

What material you attaching it to? If it is metal siding then I would think Automotive 3m tape would work well. They use it to attach all kinds of things to cars.

Hardieplank (fiber cement). Yeah, the 3m tape was something I had in mind. Perhaps I'll try it. Don't think it would cause any harm if it fell off one day. I could use screws at that point, I suppose.

Two screws on the top and two on the bottom.....tape between. I could live with that.
