Overhead LED Lighting with Built-In Outlet

First post here. Have used the search button with no luck to find the answer.

There is no framing in our basement (due to moisture issues, I gutted it) so all the electrical outlets went to the junk yard with the framing. I want to install new LED ceiling lights in our basement but since I don't have wall outlets for our ShopVac or Air Mover I'd like to find some overhead ceiling-mount lights that have a built-in electrical outlet so that I can plug in the aforementioned vac and air mover, and use these outlets until I get new framing installed. The big box stores only have fluorescent tube lighting with the built-in outlets, but I'm only interested in LED lighting. Any help?

They are linkable via standard 120 VAC receptacles.

But they don't have a standard "wall outlet" type of plug, for plugging in tools. The "outlet" in the light you mentioned is a unique style of plug just for linking other ceiling lights together.

"They are linkable via standard 120 VAC receptacles." What's not clear about this statement?

They have a cord. It has a standard 120 VAC plug on it. This plug goes into a wall outlet (or ceiling outlet if mounted there.

At the other end of the light, there is a - yep, you guessed it: a "standard 120 VAC receptacle." You can plug another light in there or any other device that uses 120 VAC standard type plugs.

They state a 10 light limit, so I don't know if it's either true or if it's an issue or not.

The old SC/Honeywell 4500 LED shop lights had a proprietary cord end and prop receptacle at the other end. Unusable except with those model lights ASFAIK.

The light fixtures you are referring to are different than the ones FTG-05 put the link for.

As FTG-05 said in his response to you, the Sams Club linkable Multi-mode Honeywell LED shop lights have a standard 120V male plug on a 5 foot cord to supply power to the light fixture, and a standard 120V 15A receptacle on the opposite end of the light fixture to accept any standard 120V male plug with a ground.

I have the Sams Club LED shop lights FTG-05 is talking about. I bought them about a month ago when Sams Club put the 10 pack of them on sale for $184.00. That was a great deal, and I have 5 of them in my garage and 5 of them in my basement.

Just mount an outlet next to the light on the ceiling if that's what you want. Most of the built in outlets wear out quick if you unplug and plug stuff into it very often.

The Samsclub Honeywell lights that I bought two months ago are otherwise identical but they now have these standard plugs and receptacles

my local rural king also has the LED light with the 120 outlet on it. they are roughly the same price at $25-$30.
i will say though, the one from sams is brighter. i bought it a few years ago, and the ones from RK a couple months ago. so i don't remember what the lumen count is on the Sams one.
to the OP, are the lihgts you are looking to install going to be perm, or are you just looking to have some lights up while working? if the lights are temp, what about just putting an outlet on the ceiling where the light would go so you could plug in the lights mentioned above, then you will have a box for the perm lights when you get to that point?

The 2nd pic: How did you surface mount those lights?

Thanks,

The OP wants a light fixture with a place to plug in a vacuum or whatever to the light fixture.

Not one capable of being plugged into a outlet.

Mr Surly's example clearly states that you should only plug into a adjacent light.

Valid point; I don't know the current capacity of the outlet in the lights and the labeling would suggest that it's less than the nominal 15A design of the outlet style. The OP indicated he wanted temporary use to plug in an "air mover/vac" without stating its current draw. The light's current rating is unstated except for the "max ten fixtures" directive. More info needed.

Since you have some receptacles in the ceiling to plug the shop lights into, why not plug your air/vac stuff or whatever into those same receptacles? They normally would be duplex receptacles.

If you are using both of the receptacles in each duplex for the lights, then you could always get a simple adapter that plugs into a receptacle has multiple outlets in it. Kind of like this one shown below. Or you could get the kind that installs into a duplex receptacle that has 6 outlets and a screw to hold it in.
