Never seen this message on Lowes before:

"Due to shipping restrictions, one or more items aren't available for delivery in your area. Please enter a new shipping address."

I get this message even if I try to order it at full price :headscrat

Where do you live? Maybe it's restricted in your state?

Just ordered 6 with no problem... Now I can re-do that gap at the end of my driveway... Was going to buy some silkaflex but for a buck I might as well give this a try first.

Am I looking at the wrong part # (68569)? I tried ordering from my account as well as a family member's account who is on the east coast and I am only seeing regular price $6.38 with plenty in stock.

Thanks! Just ordered the 6 bottles of the Ortho... $6.43 total shipped to Dallas. ;)

Check the labels, some of those are for northern grasses and will kill southern type lawns like St. Augustine or Bermuda... And some of those are for southern grasses and will kill northern ones... lol...

For my Bermuda-grass yard I'm getting a couple of those Bayer, which is 24D plus some other stuff... The Ortho & Round-Up brand it says specifically NOT to use on Bermuda, I forgot what the ingredients were.

Thanks to the original poster for these. I usually wait till off-season to look for it on clearance and stock up on fertilizer & weed killer but I'll take it whenever!

Thanks for the heads up, and actually... I guess I did check that before I bought, and realized that I mis-posted. I did buy the Bayer:

Apparently they don't ship weed killer to NY.

"Due to shipping restrictions, one or more items aren't available for delivery in your area. Please enter a new shipping address"

Oh well.

Thanks for the heads up anyway OP, I appreciate it.

I'm wondering if this new (?) "shipping restrictions" message has to do with fulfillment location rather than the toxicity of the item, i.e., if the fulfillment location is too far away then they deny the sale. I don't think there are state-level shipping restrictions on consumer-grade chemicals and building products like caulk and weed killer. Just a guess :dunno:

I do not want to come off as a debbie downer, but this post may come off as such as I feel this is worth bringing up with all the recent discussion with changing store locations to get a better price on an item.

Lowes has a history or tenancy to flag or ban accounts which place frequent online orders from deeply discounted stores which allow for shipping. This has been reported across various other sites and forums. The most common sign of a ban is a "reference error code 237". Unfortunately once your account is flagged, you can no longer order anything from Lowes. There appear to be several users here on Garage Journal which have reported this along with several other sites.

I'd strongly suggest using a separate mylowes account with a separate credit card for these types of deals in case Lowes starts to do the bans again.

This is obviously off-topic however I feel it must be said.

Anyone having trouble with the site? Went to login to my Lowe's account and it just keeps loading. Tried a fake email to see if I get an error and same thing, doesn't progress to the next screen. On a phone not near a computer right now

Thanks for he heads up. I’ll keep that in mind and try to order some of my regular Lowe’s stuff just to kinda mix it up and be sure to use my Lowe’s stuff for regular in house purchases too.

^^This is true. They've already got me once.

So you mean you were able to just use a new account with a new credit card? Seems like they'd ban by shipping address.

I don't place a lot of ultra-deep discount orders on the website, but sometimes I do (like the coolers that were just posted). I definitely wouldn't want to not be able to place website orders, because there are often items I need to buy at full price that aren't sold in-store.

That was fast! This morning the price was $2.00 with free shipping. Within 2 hours they jacked the price up to 9.98 .

If you need a set of decent drill bits, even at $10 as the new lower price they are a pretty good deal. I have this set and use them mostly for wood, but I do the occasional thin steel with them.

*disclaimer* I do own a drill doctor and keep all my drill bits sharp.
