Hi everyone I recently bought a Milwaukee Sawzall from a pawn shop for a song but its missing some parts. It's missing the blade holder and is missing the model number tag so I have no way of knowing which model this is to order parts for it. So I was hoping you guys might be able to tell me what I have here. I took some pictures of it that I'll post so take a look at them if you have a couple minutes. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks in advance!

imgur doesn't work well on GJ. Here's a link to the image from the OP:

Or use GJ's advanced settings and add it as an attachment to host the image here.

Edit:
Yep here you go. Had to have a post count of 5 before I could share a link.

I didn't know that, or I forgot it. Well done then!
Looks like reptilezs has you covered below.

I can not see threads in that hole. I believe that saw should have been equipped with a quick lock blade clamp. Dad has a saw with the detachable power cord that has the quick lock clamp.

That seems backwards but I have never actually handled a Milwaukee with the screw type clamp.

No I think you're right, I bought that Clamp part today off the suggestion and it doesn't fit, the hole isn't threaded and it's a lot smaller diameter than the bolt so I don't see how it could be the right part. Must be the quick detach type then?

O.P. it is like mine 6507-21 circa mid 90's.
I was bummed that It would cost more than another used saw to convert to a quick change blade holder....

I have a new blade clamp and the hole in the clamp is not threaded. You have a different style. I bet it was a quick-change originally.
Your's has some features like a detachable power cord that might help identify the model. I bet it's at least from the 90's or later. Can you find a date code on anything like the power cord?

But does yours have a threaded how for the Clamp bolt? Mine isn't threaded and the bolt is to large to fit in the hole so I'm wondering if it's different than yours.

looks like my 6527-20, which I seem to remember came new with teh quik lok upgrade kit. It seems like I just had to put the new bits on the end, but it was a pretty long time ago.

clamp would look like this

Hi Brian,We get ask this a couple of times a month and we tell our customers that there is no real way of doing it as Milwaukee or any other tool company to my knowledge have a cross reference for what will inter change with what in their tool line. Sorry I couldn't give you better information.

you will have to get a spindal from a 6537-22 #38-50-5835 the gear casing are the same and quick-lok blade clamp #14-46-1011 altogether over $60.00
...but you might have the upgraded spindle already

Did we ever determine the model number of the OP's saw?

I think it might be a Super Sawzall, Model 6527-21 or 6537-22. Check out the pictures in the link below. Click on the pictures to enlarge them. The shape of the handle and the shape of the rubber boot match OP's saw. The information on the inside of the case lid indicates this Sawzall model has a Quik-Lok blade clamp and a Quik-Lok cord. This model also has a Dual Speed Selector button at the bottom of the handle. OP's pictures do not show the side of the saw where this button is located.

That does look the same as my Sawzall but when I look at the 2 models you listed on ereplacementparts, the reciprocating spindle looks different than mine. Those look like a full width spindle with a slot cut down the middle as opposed to the way mine looks.
