I have a used upright I.R. T-30 compressor that was used in a Tire shop in Costco. I have it in my garage and would like to run a line to it and use it
It has a 220 v.three phase motor, I was wondering that if I change the motor to a 220 single phase would anything else need to be changed???

You’ll need to replace the motor, starter, pressure switch, and -depending on the RPM of the replacement motor- perhaps the motor pulley. You might take a look at connecting a VFD to the machine to make it run on single phase power.

When I bought my T-30, I bought a new 5hp Baldor motor (original was 3 ph) off ebay for a couple hundred and needed to replace the motor pulley. The pulley was purchased from McMaster.

Why change the starter? Use 2 of the 3 contacts and adjust or replace the overloads to the right size.

I have a few starters that are 3 or 4 pole running a single phase 220v motor at work
