I'm confused. :headscrat

Edit: NVM, for whatever reason there was a missing post by lincwelder that appeared on refresh that has an image of the ratcheting wrenches. Weird. It's after L.Cheapo asked about the missing screw though, so, wtf, but I see them now.

You still need a socket wrench to use those which adds a half inch thickness. I went with the Gearwrench so you can use a combination wrench, or ratcheting type. Adds no thickness.

Where are yourself needing that?

Just worked on a VW transmission in the car with torx head bolts. A torx key would fit but take a long time removing the bolt 60 degrees swing at a time. A torx bit, holder and socket wrench was too thick to fit. A ratcheting comb wrench with the Gearwrench sockets fit fine and was quick. And of course you can always use them inside a regular socket and add extensions if needed. Those ball retainers hold them real tight in the wrench so you can even use the open end if need be.

Yeah i should have finished my thought a bit better. What was interesting to me was I've probably paid more for just the loc-line than I imagine something 'cheap chinese', and you got a magnet and a couple alligator clips with it. I just wasn't aware there was a cheap chinese knockoff version of loc-line though I'd be surprised if there wasn't. Loc-Line isn't expensive, but all the extra pieces you need like Y fittings and npt-threaded fittings add up. I've looked a bit for cheaper alternatives and hadn't found it, though admittedly I'm not exactly sure what to call it other than the brand name. 'Flexible socket tubing' found me plenty of USA made loc-line but nothing 'cheap chinese' I saw. More than once before I've heard them called 'air legos', but that search went nowhere also. lol

If you want, I can send you the link by personal message. Just let me know.

Grabbed the Mid Torque today. Hard to be lieve it's as small as it is and still has a great amount of power.

The Fedex truck dropped off some Tekton goodness in the form of two standard length 90 tooth ratchets in 1/4 and 3/8 drive.
I like them. Granted they haven't seen much use yet but, i think they're winners right out of the extremely well packed box. Nice chrome, nice balance, crisp ratchet action. I really think they did the handle right. If you look at my crappy photos below, there's one shot that has a Gearwrench XL 84 tooth 1/4 drive ratchet compared to the Tekton standard length 1/4 drive ratchet. As you can see there isn't much of a handle on the Gearwrench. Its handle just gets lost in your hand. However, the Tekton ratchet handle gives you something to hold onto. the finger ring towards the middle of the handle, provides a natural resting point for your thumb & index finger. the pommel at the other end is well shaped/finished & is very comfortable regardless of grip used. it's definitely a well designed handle.
Now some of you will be unhappy that the ratchet head is blank. There's no off or on stamped in the head to assist you in figuring out which direction your ratchet is ratcheting. This is not an issue to me but, i know that for some of you this will be a deal breaker. Head thickness as judged by my eyes, is as thin as Gearwrench 84 tooth models.
I'm anxious for the flex head versions to appear. I don't think i need to worry about SK releasing their 90 tooth ratchet in other drive sizes now because, i feel Tekton has a winner-winner chicken dinner with these ratchets  I'll take them to work tomorrow and see how well they work.

Nice MF box Jeffgage. I can't say I'm a fan of how that side box fits on the 72". But that is a lot of tool storage overall!!

My Crick level arrived yesterday at work. Coworker sent me picture. Says he can't believe the quality. I'll get it Saturday when I get in for my next shift.

Chicago Latrobe USA-made screw extractor set size 1 thru 6 with corresponding drill bits in USA-made tool roll!!! I haven't tried USA Chicago Latrobe in the shop yet; but I do know I love Hansen extractors.
I ordered Chicago Latrobe from Zoro and it said country of origin United States, but when I received them they said China. This led me to believe that USA made are a thing of the past. So I consider this a good find.fc1d7248a0bee70449216c6edd6b48e6.jpg

While it's getting more rare that I see a tool I need to buy, I got this tungsten grinder head for a M12 rotary tool. Takes about 5 mins to set up but after that it works fantastic.

Nice. You'll love having that to sharpen you tungsten. Very fast and efficient and back to welding. I've had the Weldcraft version for nearly 10 years now and love it.

Yeah the good commercial ones always scared me away price wise.

This head was $36 and the bare M12 tool was 60. I believe it fits about a half dozen brand rotary tools. TungstenMate was the brand on ebay. They had an aluminum version as well as 10,15 and 20 degree grind angles.

I'm such a ****** tig welder I have 3 or 4 double ended ones ready to go so I don't have to stop and grind every time.

Went in looking for a small pair of Knipex alligators, left with an 11mm Masterforce USA impact (I'll probably never used it but the chrome one mixed in with the impacts was killing me) and a 1/4" GW flex head, this is probably my favorite ratchet I have at home and I already own it, but they had it on sale for 12.99 so I bought the last one. Not sure there's a nicer ratchet for 12 dollars!

Got both on promo today. Figure they'll come in handy this weekend working on the front end of my pickup.

Some stuff from last two auctions, total is 250$ between both weekends
And some new stuff from weekend outings to town, the nutcert gun is amazing, 15$ at menards, I've been tracking the astro for months waiting on it to lower the price on Amazon, nothing expensive, nothing that will be abused, some stuff needs a good cleaning, some will stay the way it is

So I don't have the picture now but I just pick up a Milwaukee straight die grinder a BIG m*****f***er. I could not help myself, at $25 Tax included. The Model is #5243-6 a huge and heavy die grinder. I could not help myself, I am a tool addict. So this is my dilemma, I have to find a use for this tool or many uses for this tool. Otherwise my wife will have me committed. I know what it can do but looking for more uses. Help or you may never hear from me again.

I have a corded Milwaukee die grinder with the dial to adjust speed control. I'd have to check the model no but its something like DGL-#+@%. They run a 2"-5" sanding pad well, any grinding stones/small wheels, smallish wire brush, polishing pads, 1/4" carbide burrs and heaps more. They are like a dremel on steroids! Well built old Milwaukee when China was off the agenda!
