Refreshing clear coat over epoxy

I had an epoxy floor installed over 10years ago. The epoxy is doing great but the clearcoat finish is worn and dull near the opening of the garage. How would I reapply the clear coat to freshen it up. It is also dulled from exposure to sun which I knew would happen. Can I strip off clear coat without harming epoxy coat? Thanks

Reapplying a new clear coat can make a coating look new again providing that it is just the clear that is damaged/worn. The quickest way to go about it is to rough up the surface and remove the upper layer with an 80 grit sanding screen on a floor buffer. If you expose some of the color flakes that is OK. Sweep, vac, and then wipe it down with denatured alcohol. After that, apply your high performance clear coat of choice.

You can use a Green Pad (on a buffer) to get it ready if it's got flakes.
This should dull the coating without destroying the flakes.
Wipe, as Shea mentioned, with the alcohol prior to coating.

Scotty is right on. I should have prefaced to use the sanding screen if you have deep scratches with ground in dirt or a yellowed clear coat. I wasn't sure what you have

Look to Polyaspartic or Polyurea for amber free.
Are you sure the clear ambered and not the epoxy?

BTW... if coating is yellow'd (ambered) , shea is correct the sanding screen is a necessity.
