I have a full shop with 3 lifts, but from time to time the lifts get ******* with stuff like transmission or suspension jobs and I lose the capacity to do stuff like brake jobs and oil changes efficiently. So I'm thinking about finding a portable lift that I can roll out on the deck to service drive in customers or book appointments when my racks are *******, and then roll back in under a car for the night.
Unless there's something I missed, it looks like the options are center lift scissors, twin scissors, and the single post.
Looking for experience from users as to how portable the different types are and how accessible the underside of the car is for doing stuff like oil changes with the various types. Looks like all of the options are suitable for stuff like brakes, struts, or anything that can be done from the perimeter, but if can't strike a balance between portability and accessibility I think I'll stick with jack stands...
