He tells me to wait til the price gets better or buy one now and if the price drops within 7 days I can get a refund. That sounds like code for, "we save the good prices for ourselves..."
Maybe I'm being paranoid, but there has to be a reason they were placed SOOOoOOoo far out of the way that no one could find them for a long time.

I haven't really searched for tool chests at Lowe's because they are just 'meh'... But at Home Depot I've found them all over the place, usually in the lumber area in the back corner of the store. They are large & bulky, and depending on the model don't exactly fly off the shelves, so they put them in a location that is out of the way.

Went to my 4th local Lowes today and grabbed a few more deals.

These have been posted a few times in this thread but this was the first store I actually found any at.

I picked up all five that I could find at this price.

I also found some shelves a few days ago.

I ended up going back and buying the two other ones they had the next day. One of the boxes was messed up so I asked for a discount on it and they gave me 10% off which isn't much but I'll take it!

And I am waiting to hear back from my wife if she wants me to buy this since we just learned we will likely need one for our new house we are building.

Okay! Success, a little weird, but success!
My store has four 875251 boxes, marked 324.50 (50%)
A couple of stores (AL) have it online at 162 (75% off).
Previous attempts to match this went no where except CS and CS was *nope*.
This time I went to the clearance area (Appliance) and collared nearest fellow.
He first said “sure, no prob”. But then had to call a mgr. Mgr (“area manager” I guess) at first says sure, then gets concerned that he may not have the backing to go that far...
he hem-haws for a bit, (OK, ‘vacillates’ for you Northerners) and then, deciding on his comfort level says “I’ll go 200”.
He seems comfy now.
I thought a bit and tell him I’ll just wait for the 162 another day.
We are about to move on and I offered 175.
He says alright. So, all right!
That is how I ended up buying this box for oddest price on it yet.

This box seems pretty stout, way more so than a Husky. The casters are premounted and they are pretty beefy. The box shipping weight is 191 lbs.


They do have some newly marked stuff so I’ll have to make a round through the store again.
I put the box in the truck.... and I’m going back in!

I went back in, covered the whole thing again. A couple of things but virtually none of the more notable things from this thread. There are large areas (e.g. shovel-rake-broom-clipper- wall), not a single yellow sticker.

So I confront him about it and he says "this one is mine I'm buying it". He rolls it in the back so I get the manager back there and I went off the deep end on him. They check the back and tell me they are marked sold so I tell him I want my toilet or I'm calling corporate. They blow me off so I'm up front looking up the corporate number and see the store search so I look the toilet up and one is let in inventory so they were lying. I tell customer service I want the toilet and walk back again with the manager and tell her your a** is getting fired if you dont find my toilet. She comes out 5 minutes later with my toilet and a bull**** story about it not being in inventory.

GJ seems to be flaky about linking pics. Sometimes I have to remove the 's' in https to get the pics to show up and sometimes I don't. As for Tapatalk I don't have much experience there as I've always found a browser window on my phone in desktop mode to be the easiest way to view forums but it sounds like the pics are showing for others so I really have no clue sorry.

"monster" is all relative lol. It's a 24" blower. That's a small unit up here in Maine.

7 of these in Cromwell CT. Going to need a column in the basement eventually when I remove a wall but they're too tall: going to hold off and just concrete in a non-adjustable one


took the last 5x dual duct-tape packs in Newington CT yesterday for $2.50. Lots of yellow tags, many with very small markdowns.

wanted the big portable jump starter battery or the laser level. both were still full price

Only thing of note is the guy said he was surprised a safe didn't sell yet: marked down from $300 to $75. Sorry no item #, didn't look that close but may be worth checking

Like others have said, go walk around your store. But take your finds to the Pro desk and ask for a deal. The manager at my local store wants the clearance stuff gone, I bet many are willing to deal.
