Nice, been waiting for another one of these, now let's just hope most of the big sellers don't raise their prices right as this goes active like they normally do.

I'm looking at ordering some stuff, but the tax is coming up at 28% from two different sellers! Something is messed up.

Update: I had Ebay customer service call me and they were shocked by the 28 and 31 sales tax rate, but all he could do was try to help me find the items from sellers that didn't charge sales tax---who had higher prices or shipping

Thanks OP just ordered an Astro 1828 impact. After the discount and my Paypal balance from selling my old 3/8 impact only cost me $31.40!

It is illegal to collect tax that is not due or that won’t be given to the government.

There was a supreme court ruling not long ago regarding online sales and tax, I don't know all the details as I haven't read up on it yet but I am hearing it won't be long before all online sales are taxed regardless of where it is shipping to/from. :(

Edit: here is a little bit about it, this is just the first search that came up, and this article is from months ago, I'm sure there is more up to date info out there if you searched around a bit

I hate these deals, you can easily spend too much on a bunch of stuff you don't need :) I almost bought some new subframe mounts but decided just to get one of those Vessel screwdrivers everyone loves instead.

I did something that 10 years ago I woulda sworn I'd never do when I could build one - I treated myself to a cast Baldor pedestal for my new 8" Baldor grinder.

There's just something COOL about the OEM pedestals....and I'm at a point where it's a wash 'cause in the time it would take me to build and paint one I can make the same amount in billable just working (granted, I may still rattle can the one coming my way)

My discount was $76.87. I ordered the following tool related items:

M12 3/8” stubby with boot and 6.0 battery
M12 2.0 battery
M18 2.0 battery
M18 9.0 battery
Boot for my mid torque impact

I also ordered a pair of sunglasses and a car part.

Now you have me second guessing the 1/2" stubby. Any reason why you went with the 3/8", was it cheaper? I guess you can always go up with adapters so it doesn't really matter.

I have a comprehensive selection of 3/8" impact sockets including universals and the short nanos. The 3/8" sockets are physically smaller than 1/2", so I figure I'll get the most out of the stubby with them. I figure if I need something in 1/2" (so bigger than 19mm or 3/4") I'll use my 1/2" mid torque as there should be enough space.

I went 1/2" stubby 'cause I already have Astro Nano sockets in 1/2".

I don't think it matters either way, 3/8" or 1/2". Flip a coin. But I'm sure I'll eventually get the 3/8" also

makes sense, I figured it had to do with better selection of 3/8 sockets.

I also screwed up by guessing wrong that the coupon was good till you hit the $100 max. I couldn't use it a second time to also purchase the new m12 3" cutoff wheel saw. oh well
I'll just wait for the next sale

Should be able checkout as a guest, or you are allowed to have 2 eBay accounts tied to one PayPal account

This coupon worked out well for me. I saw an SK wrench set for SAE and metric that would have been $174 shipped. I only wanted go spend $150. I crunched the numbers and with the coupon it came out to $150. I had no choice but to buy it.
