Hey guys, im stumped. Been searching with no info and no luck. I have the master cool set that has 45 degree and bubble flare dies. I was curious if I can use the 37 degree cone and create a single flair 37 degree fitting? I need to make a brake line to connect a 3/16 metal tube to a an style fitting. I have the appropriate tube nut setup and sleeve backing for it. Thanks!

If you are attempting what I think you are, I'm afraid you'll find that what you want to do will not work. Both the inside and the outside of the flair have to be worked against surfaces of the same angle. A 37° cone working into a 45° seat will make a weird flair.

I have the complete set. You'll absolutely need the 37 degree dies and cone. Another option is rigid make one that I use more then the mastercool set since it's faster to set up.

Here's a pic of both in 3/8 side by each. The 37 degree is on the left. If you're under a major time crunch and have the ability to machine a cone it might work fine with the 45 degree dies....maybe.
