I'd like to understand how to select a small transformer for small loads. I'm going to be working with 24VAC control voltage.
Here's the specs on what I want to power with the 24VAC voltage. A solenoid with .46A charging/pull-in .06A hold coils. There's going to be 3 of them, at some point I may add 1-2 more down the road.
Basically, it's possible the transformer could see close to 1.5A if they all come on at the same time. My best guess is I need a 36Va minimum for 3 solenoids and a 60Va for 5 solenoids? What would be the correct rated transformer to use?
