I am not sure where to put this question? But it is tool related.

So, I bought a flashlight yesterday, it cost $60.00. I had $65.00 in my paypal account so decided to use that to make the purchase. However, paypal did not use the money in that account. Instead they drafted the money from my bank account. Obviously I did something wrong. My question is will paypal charge me for this purchase since they drafted from my bank account?

Thanks for any help,

No. If you used a credit card, there would be a fee. Drawing out of your checking account, no fee. You can log into PP and request that your $65.00 be put into your bank account.

Uh, PayPal doesn't charge you a fee to use your credit card to buy something.

You can also set your PP balance, or whatever you want, as your preferred payment method. If you do not choose a different method when sending money the preferred method will be used. And if the preferred method doesn't work it will default to a back up. So you could set the PP balance as preferred and have it default to your bank account as the back up method if the PP balance is empty.

I would add that a credit card is usually the best preferred payment method because it gives you an extra layer of protection if something goes wrong.

Yes, definitely. I had to go to the CC company once, even beyond PayPal protections.
