I’d say that for any of the deals posted on these pages the general rule is...

YOU SNOOZE - YOU LOSE

Keep some extra cash separate from your walking around money in case a great deal pops up.
You’ll be at a great disadvantage if you have to ask sellers to hold it for you. Check C/L more than once a day.
You can get a low price, or high quality, or quickly with minimum effort... but not all 3 at once!

This strategy has proved successful for me many times. Consider it a game. If searching for good deals seems like too much work for you, just relax and let others pick them up.

That compressor is probably worth $1000 !!
Note that it is 3 phase.
But even if you have to re power it with another 5 horse motor, it’s still worth it.
And you could resell the 3 phase Baldor to an industrial user.

I've seen this one listed before - it's not too far from Rochester, so I'm a bit skeptical. I saw a similar cabinet sell for the same price within minutes a few weeks ago...I do see some rust(?) on the bottom on that cabinet, so maybe it's a bit beat?

That’s what I said yesterday. But realize that the post says it has been up for a month. If that was a straightforward deal, even though it’s a 3 phase motor, it would have been GONE a long time ago. Just might be a C/L scammer.

600 mile round trip is more than I’d take on for this vise, even if it was free.

Another great deal in Santa Rosa. Workbench $25

This workbench is massive. Better bring 2 guys to load it. Some time with a belt sander and a few coats of varnish and you’ll be good to go.

The vise is not as great a deal (separately priced at $40) but OK for what it is. But you can get both for $50 !!!

Got down to $450 for everything... the gladiators will be the base of a 14’ long workbench, red ones going to be a side-car on the welding table, Black one will be stacked with another 5 - drawer I have.



I feel like this is a steal, for my purposes anyway... 14’ of workbench is a lot.
