I know that the 3/8" is 11.5" long.

If everything on the picture is to scale (as it looks to be), the 1/2" should be around 16.5"

I recently bought that set and am very impressed with them. I am a maintenance technician during the day and work for a mechanic at night. My night time employer is a big snap on guy, so thats what i use at his shop. But when using the gearwrench ratchets during the day; I dont feel much difference. Time will tell but so far they are great.

Does anyone know how long the handle on the gearwrench flex head 1/2 ratchet is? Gearwrench does not list any info on this ratchet on their website, nor do any of the retailers.

The one in this set.

I'll let you know for sure when I go home for lunch. I have that set and love it. As for the fit and finish, it's excellent. The action is nice and smooth as well...

GEARWRENCH Owners of these rachets please comment on how you like the fit, finish and 60 Tooth action ?????

I have the flex handle 3/8 and 1/4 and love them both. I traded my SK's in on the gear wrench ratchets. The ratchet on the SK's was a little smoother, but the handle to head connection on the SK's got really sloppy fast. I have been using the 3/8 gearwrench for almost a year now and it still feels great.

A USA made alternative is the Allen brand 1/2" long flex ratchet for $40 at Menards. Only 36 teeth but it seems nice to me. It is about 18" long. Made by Danaher like the C-man.

I have several, the head profile is thin, which is nice. I have never had any problems with them, the 60 tooth design is good. I think the Matco 88 guts fit the GearWrench ratchets, if I am not mistaken.

If you're talking about the Roto head ratchet, I dont have one of those. I used a buddy's once and I didn't really care for it, but he loves it.

I have 2 of the 4 pc sets on order. A co worker has the same two I do and also wanted the 1/2" drive. We both figured we could bring the rubber handles home and have the polished sets at work.
