Work gave me a pair of channellock 426 pliers. Free is always a good price. 9 pliers in a week isn't a problem everything is under control. IMG_20181115_182908.jpeg

I was doing a little thrifting today, and I came across a guy who had a whole bunch of NOS xcelite stuff. I got this whole pile for $20! He had a bunch of other stuff that I already had, but I bought just about everything that I didn't have! I was happy to get both the extra-long and stubby nut drivers and the long screwdrivers. There was also a lone Vaco screw-holding philips in there too!

Japanese knives are really thin and sharp. Great for slicing and dicing. It's blade is at a 15 degree angle. If you like to be rough with your knife and beat it around than i suggest going with western knife with a thicker blade.

That Tojiro DP was only 55.96 from Amazon. ( stainless steel softer clad on the outside and a VG-10 core steel) I also have their carbon steel ones which I love but my wife doen't always dry those after use and they can rust, so i got the Tojiro DP series that are stainless. The DP series are priced really well. I also have some Shun Premier and they cost a lot more but I like my Tojiro work horse.

My beater knives for my family

There are two other techs(besides myself) in our shop who have these....we love them! I use mine all the time. I've had it for 2+ years, put one head repair kit in it. One of the other techs bought a 3/8 fuel & doesn't like it near as well. Too bulky & really not as powerful as it should be. i'm getting a 3/8 brushed as soon as I get to Home Depot

After close to a year of looking, I was able to utilize my dad to buy this pristine 1/2hp setup (local to him, 4hrs away from me). Bought it from the original owner who stated it had maybe been used 4-5 times.

I really want to get some eye shields that have the metal frame around them, and I'm sure torqueman2002 has some nice examples that would really finish this setup off!

To go with my stubby impact.

Nice wife said my anniversary present is in the mail on its way 3/8 stubby fuel impact and she grabbed the deal posted on here 2 days ago from Home Depot for the 2 battery pack. Got those astros on my list for amazon so i just need to hit order. Can’t wait

Also I’m glad you posted those astros because i didn’t know they were stamped and that’s great I’m not a huge fan of laser engraved because after a lot of hard use it can wear off and then your guessing at sizes.

Empire levels were from hot deals section.

Nice score. Xcelite is pricey for some reason. Don't see a lot of it on here. I started my career in PC repair. We used a lot of Xcelite tools.

Yeah, I've been doing electronics repair for a long time too. Ever since I was a kid, I would see Xcelite stuff in my electronics catalogs and magazines. I absolutely lust after it, lol. Usually while thrifting I might find a single beat-up screwdriver in a bin... But to find all this NOS stuff, I about cracked up!

speaking of Xcelite - picked this screwdriver up today along with the magnet. Cash only, total of 8 bucks.
I had never been to this store before, they have been in the same location since 1959 and the owner has been in business since 1947. Lots of history!

Picked up the new IR W7152 kit after putting in an order a month ago. Been over a month without an impact wrench after selling my previous generation of this and my IR pneumatic version.

Man, I have a very old set of xcelite nut drivers from my dad. I think they are as old as me, I’m 42. I use them every now and then...still good.

Spring punches that are awesome,

I thought those were a joke when I saw them online. I played with them on the truck and they're pretty serious. If I didn't already have Starrett automatic punches...

Got my new stubby sockets

To go with my stubby impact.

Your purchase really got me curious about the stubby impact. I was at the local Farm and Fleet and they had one on display. Ohh man...that felt sweet in my hand. Paired with those tiny impact sockets...that would be a killer little tool for assembly and disassembly purposes.

Problem is that I am a Bosch man myself, but so I am torn as to what to do. Dare I venture into another cordless tool platform? I already have a mix of Dewalt, Milwaukee, Craftsman, and Bosch corded tools, but right not I only have (2) Bosch 18V corded tools. I will admit I am a little envious of the offerings from Milwaukee, but so far my Bosch Drill/Impact Driver combo has treated me really well.

Went down to Home Depot as I heard from my dad that they had M18 batteries on sale. Unfortunately, the batteries were all sold out however I picked up a Sawzall for $88CAD. Pretty excited about that.
Now if only I hadn't forgotten to rain-check one of those batteries...

Bought a used 1/4 drive s-k socket set for $50 off eBay. Set is pretty clean and don't know how old it is. Looks lightly used. IMG_20181119_031037.jpgIMG_20181119_031026.jpgIMG_20181119_031015.jpg
