Spark plug gapping tools, what do you use?

Over the years I have never had the right tool for gapping plugs (closing the gap) that is. I saw one by all star and wondered if these are not needed or what you use for this? Thank you kindly in advance.

I have one and I hate it. Hard to read and doesn't even gap very well

usually about $20 bucks on Ebay (used) - available in various brands (all made by Indestro)

there are two models: this one goes .018 - .035 - the other one is for the later "wide gap" electronic ignition systems.

I have a whole mess of the little wire models - we also stocked Kastar (Lang) and I repped the line as a manufacturers agent - still have lots of salesman samples. Prefer the Indestro gadget - works every time.

I've used one of the round wire gauges, too. For many years now. I like the tilt-insensitive nature of wire vs one of those "wedge" types (the round kind goes back decades, and the straight kind looks essentially the same).

Same thing as four.cycle. I prefer the plier type as they tend to keep the electrode and ground wire more square to each other when gapping.
