Welcome back, although I'm a noob here. Curious what type of project in Denmark? Civil engineering? O&G? Something else?

Welcome back, So what are your plans to do in your garage now that you are back?

When I was in High School, I took shop each year. The shop teacher was good, he really wanted to teach us. I learned how to run a lathe and Mill and weld. That was 57 years ago since I have run a lathe or mill. Welding has been done my entire life.
I decided to buy a Lathe and Mill and learn all over all I have forgotten.......and the forget is huge in 57 years. So I bought a beautiful 10" Atlas Lathe that was a school lathe. Its in beautiful shape...the carriage was never even crashed into the chuck LOL. Now I am looking for a small bench top mill, a mini mill. I have no plans or room to get a big mill. I watch Craigslist for a small mini mill or a Mill/Drill.

I hope by end of winter I will be able to cut threads on the lathe, turn tapers. On the mill, learn how to make small parts. From reading, I 'think' I would be happy for now even finding a Harbor Freight mini mill.

Thats the story\

I loved Denmark! What are your thoughts?

Denmark is very beautiful, as are the people. I had a great assignment. However at times getting around by my self with english only, could be challenging.

However my favorite is Norway. Coastal Norway, north of Tromso. It too is very beautiful as are the people and english was/is never a issue. They all seem to have a favorite saying when you ask for directions or help. They always go out of their way to help......but as you leave they always said "Good Luck" LOL. I love the mountains and coastal areas. Put me on the Lofoten Islands and I could be happy for the rest of my life.
