Need recommendation on insulation netting

I have identified a need to put in some ceiling insulation ahead of the drywall ceiling, which will rest on netting until the drywall is installed.

The reason is by virtue of installing a rectangular duct and its 2" insulation board "wrap" in the attic, I blocked off access to part of the ceiling cavity going over the top of it. (there's space for airflow but not a person's head to visualize. So I need to fill these cavities one-by-one using the adjoining space between trusses.

Its roughly 4' wide strip, I have the cellulose insulation already purchased, and it needs to be 9" deep.

Looking for something which can support the weight without tearing, I could probably use cap nails if staples aren't adequate.

I see various offerings at box stores but not quite sure what's "super cheapo" and what's "slightly better". Any recommendations appreciated.

If I'm understanding, it sounds like you can access it from the ceiling below. I would cut sheet insulation to pop in or just staple fiberglass bats.

I'm going to use blown in cellulose in my shop, as the loft joists are on 12" centers. You can buy regular insulation netting, but I'm told that landscaping fabric works well and is cheaper. I don't have any experience yet, though. The contractor that did my house was the same price as DIY, so I let them do it.

Search for "skrim"

I wish I knew what these people used Insulation skrim/netting. Skip forward to 3:50.

I you search online, you can find a hammer stapler that places a plastic washer down before the staple.

When we did our shop we put the insulation between the ceiling joist and stapled string zig-zag across. It held up fine till drywall was installed.

I needed to insulate my workshop before the drywall was installed. I press fit mineral wool batts between the joists but had a few places where the batts didn't fit tight enough and would fall down. I sourced some insulation netting from eBay which worked well enough but it was kind of pricey.

However, after later working with landscaping fabric on a xeriscaping project, I wouldn't hesitate to use it in place of insulation netting if I had to do it again.
