I saw this mentioned last week, and couldn't get sizing nailed down, and of course doesn't matter now. How is it Milwaukee sells out of this every year, and doesn't learn from it? Obviously there is demand, but they fall short every year of fulfilling it. We aren't even into the part of the season where you see others wearing theirs, and then creating more interest/demand for them.

This.

I got a large based on the sizing charge. I fit either large or XL depending on brand, but everyone says to get these a little more snug so the heat is on your body. I would had preferred the vest as there is no heat in the arms and it would allow me to put it under a jacket easier but they were sold out of them.

I wish my milwaukee m12 power source would work with my Bosch jacket. But it doesn't. They even appear to be twins. :(

There should be a fairly easy way to make it work. Check the output on the pin on both units with a multimeter and verify voltage as well as polarity. Could be as simple as swapping the polarity.

the document is set for view only.

i can understand that you dont want to let anyone edit it, because they might, i am sure inadvertently, screw it up.

on the other hand, it is most useful if i can plug in the numbers, and get the answers. i can't see a way to download a copy of the spreadsheet itself, which would sort of solve the issue, but would require me to have a spreadsheet program. (comes free on my mac, not sure about windoze)

perhaps a web page that you can input the values and get the answer . . . . .

you can download it under the file link and then you can determine what kind of file you want to download it as. I downloaded it as a excel file and when it opened in excel i was able to unprotect it and plug in my own numbers

This has already been solved here on GJ (not by me).

The Bosch needs to see three quick pulses when plugged in. So you can try to insert the battery three times but that's rather clunky and difficult to do quickly enough. So just do it at the holster plug. The jacket button will illuminate briefly when you've done it correctly.

My gf does this literally every morning; I bought her a women's Bosch on AWD and she powers it with all our Milwaukee stuff. She did it today, she'll do it tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day....

Thought you guys might like to know that I got my ToolUp order today. I know that some people were worried about it.

i placed two orders. one shipped quickly. one still has not shipped, although the item it was being held for is entering its third day of being in stock.

i called yesterday, and talked to someone who told me that paypal orders sometimes needed to be "pushed" when they were being "held for fulfillment". said he would send the order over to the paypal person.

all good, right?

when the paypal person "pushed" the order, the system (i assume) added shipping to the order, since it was less than the 200$ needed for free shipping (although it was more than the 99$ required at the time). checking paypal shows the correct amount was paid, though.

so, this morning it still has not shipped. i assume it is because i still owe 12.77$ on the order, so the computer won't release it. i emailed yesterday when i saw the balance change on the order and after checking paypal, but they dont seem to have fixed it yet. they are in nevada (well, stuff ships from there, so i assume it is all there). so i will wait until after lunch and call them back, and try to get this resolved.

i wonder how many other orders fell into this hole.

Sounds like the same issue I am having, been waiting on an order now with no shipping status.

I bought something from Toolup on eBay on Monday and it was supposed to arrive on Thursday according to the FedEx shipping label, but I don't think it was in FedEx's possession until late Thursday. It was delivered on Friday.

I had a similar issue when the cutoff saw I ordered was @ $129 and minus the MIL25 coupon code I had free shipping., but between the time I made out the order and actually finalized it the price was dropped to $114 and after the MIL 25 was factored in I got wacked for shipping. Which brought the final price up to $1.50 more THAN the tool at the original list price with code and the free shipping offer.:dunno:

Their exorbitant shipping charges for to my Northeast location (about double what ACME or CPO charges for similar orders) usually has discouraged me from ordering from them.

i understand. acmetools.com seems to charge a flat 7$ shipping, and has a 50$ floor for free shipping, which seems completely reasonable.

my first toolup order shipped quickly, and is due today, although the latest fedex status earlier this morning was from nevada, although you can't blame toolup.com for that.

does anyone know of someone inside toolup.com that can be contacted directly who has the ability to unwed these issues?

thanx.

Not sure how great of a deal, but HD has a "special buy" for the Pocket rover flood with second rechargable batter and charger for the same price as just the light, $59. Picked one up.

It is a great deal, and has been posted on several times. Only issue now is finding any left. Seems most stores got one package of 8 units of the extra battery. I swear someone bought them all from the 4 HDs near me in a single day

My local HDs all said they have them in stock... except they don’t, because HD for some reason has the same Store SKU for both the 2112-21 and 2112-21P. Says they have “4 in stock” of the -21P online at a particular store but really they just have the -21 (no extra battery).

Did you get tracking info from ACME? I never did. I put in my order number and zip code and can see my order on their site, but there's no shipping or tracking info whatsoever. :headscrat

In other news, I got the shipping email from HD for the Milwaukee ½" impact tool they had on sale. I don't remember if they're shipping to store or to my home. Haven't decided whether I'm going to keep it or return it, but for $150 for the tool, battery, and charger it's worth the effort. Someone mentioned the Fuel model was better and only a little more expensive, but I haven't seen that one anywhere near $150.

i remain optimistic about toolup.com.

i got email from them today telling me that MIL25 is sort of back. it is now 24$ off of 200$ (rather than 100$ like last time) and only for today. of course, shipping is still 199, so it all ties together. . . . . . .

ok, here is what i have found with acme.

when i order from my account, i dont get tracking information, or a shipped email. the order gets updated to shipped, and then sometime later it shows up.

if i forget to log into my account, and just order:

1) it doesnt offer to add it to my account even though the shipping email and address match

2) if i check to manually, entering the order number and the zip, the order includes a URL for tracking. i recall even getting an email about it.

so, they dont really reward you for giving an account . . . . .

I've been trying to purchase the M18 1/2" impact driver kit, model #2860-21 from Home Depot for over a week. It's on sale for $219. They have been out of stock. Just received a message saying the kit has been discontinued and they will not get it in.

The pin model isnt that bad, its much easier the older pin impacts that were a super pain. Thing is the socket goes on sooo much easier with the pin model, its almost less time on+off than the friction ring.

^^^^IMO you dodged a bullet. I'd want the friction ring 2861 over pin detent 2860

I don't mind the pin detent. I'm just a diy'er. I usually just turn the socket so the pin doesn't line up if I'm doing auto work and changing sockets a bunch. If I'm driving a bunch of lag bolts I lock the pin in and I find it handy in that application.

I wondered about that, but didnt want to try it on one I was giving someone. If the socket has grooves inside on the 3 sides without a hole, the pin wont get jammed or stuck?

That’s because it’s on clearance at all the Home Depot’s. Some already hit 50% off reg price was (299.00) it is now $150.00 in-store and it won’t go any lower.
Friction ring is $17-22 on eBay. Easy swap for those that don’t like pin detent

Use your charm and get additional discounts. YMMV fd086b7d8e032e3922e0c072ad5d8c07.jpg

Well done on the discounts. Unfortunately I live in rural Kansas. Closest HD to me is Topeka and they don't have any in stock. In fact they have very little in regular stock. I've had to buy all my Milwaukee online to get a deal.

Back with the original pin style (very flat tip) I remember reading some where about someone that got a chrome socket stuck. :scared:

Guess they had to cut it off, later pin style are different part #'s

I can understand what you’re saying but I like having the pin detent because it holds extensions better and honestly it’s not that hard to push the pin in I just now keep a blunt pick to push it in with my sockets.

I ordered from Acme on the 24th. Two items:

1. M12 3/8-Inch Drill/Driver and the M12 1/4-Inch Hex Impact Driver.

2. Wiha Insulated SoftFinish® Slotted & Phillips Screwdriver Set, 2 Piece

The screwdrivers came 2 days ago.

I just saw on my Nest Cam (and verified by tracking via order number on their site) that the Milwaukee came today.

I didn't get a tracking number but there was a "Track" link in my order confirmation email that showed the tracking (delivered today) for the Milwaukee..
They did right by me.

This. Or put a short extension on it. I prefer PIN.

I've heard of that too. Some people said they filed a slight bevel or rounded the edges on the pin to make it easier to pull on/off and ensure sockets don't get stuck when putting them on with the pin and hole misaligned. I think the newer versions fixed that.

I'll let you know for sure on Friday when mine arrives [emoji6]

I will say from experience, at least with Dewalt impacts. The friction ring will hold up much better to serious use. The detent pin style anvil on the Dewalt is weaker and will fracture, splitting the 1/2" square drive. Out of the 3 we had, each one broke at least once and was replaced under warranty. The friction ring type never experienced this issue. We were running 1-1/8" impact socket tightening 1000+ nuts a day.

I have the original "ball pin" 2655 and never a problem with chrome sockets. From what I can see from parts diagrams most of the new pins are similar in shape to that now

Ya let us know

so, I bought one of the staplers (2447-20) at home depot yesterday for 66.22$ (plus tax)

HD is offering a free battery deal, where you get a free 2AH M12 with select tools:

https://www.homedepot.com/s/free%20m12?NCNI-5

while they are offered as a bundle online, in store they are stocked and billed as separate items. I took the two of them to the self check out, and scanned them. the screen indicated that they were on sale, and listed the refunds for each item separately right here on the screen. I paid, went and put the stapler in the truck, and looped around to the customer service desk, where their only question was "is there anything wrong with it?". I answered no, they scanned the receipt, had me sign the credit card widget, and gave me back my receipt and another for the refund of 32.78 (plus tax).

here is an image of the original receipt showing the refund amounts:

Screen Shot 2018-12-04 at 08.50.05.jpg

I know that some people don't like this, considering it cheating, or worse. I have decided that since HD goes right there on the receipt and publishes the prorated refund amounts, they must be OK with it. HD doesn't want you returning the main item, and keeping the free one, but clearly they are OK with you returning one item. they could mark the receipt "must be returned together for refund", after all.

this is the first time I have done it, and while I don't anticipate doing it a lot, I can see why people do it. I am swimming in 2AH M12 batteries I have gotten in kits and free offers like this (I haven't even opened one or two of them) and would rather have the 30$ than yet another unwrapped 2AH battery. now, if it was one of those new 6AH m12's (or even another 4AH) I would have kept it . . . .
