Inside of my snapon 1/4-inch ratcheting solid handled screwdriver...the black retention clip. Hoes on one way and the little ears prevent it from being pulled off. I need one, what are they called?

Are you sure that you need it? Many of those are put on to retain a shaft during assembly and not needed for operation.

You almost got it. Those are Tinnerman Palnut Push-Ons.

Yeah. I’m sure. The nit retains the shaft in my SnapOn and Williams ratcheting drivers. I need to replace the shaft on one and bet I’ll destroy the buy getting it off.

You don't need it, you can remove it and then swap shafts (which you can buy separately) for longer or shorter etc... so you have one ratcheting handle and multiple shafts...

Don’t the shafts need to have the detents in them? Also, know where to get them? SO variety can be got for all the money...
