I was a strictly commercial/industrial electrician for most of my 45+ years in the trade.
Any houses I've wired have been in NM. NM has it's place, as do any of the rest of the wiring methods.

Ignore him. Just another individual who has lost perspective. Much like the folks who only use plywood cause "OSB is garbage".

What these people fail to realize is that the time and money saved by using these "garbage products" could be put into something else that will show much more benefit.

Reread his response. He is pro romex in homes.

The more we go LED the more overkill the wall wiring gets LOL. I just put up 12 stands of "C9" LED red on the house and shop. Plugged into a 20A GFCI wired with 12. Total string draw is 27w. The landscape light draw total is 22w.

curious, which lights are the c9's they seem to be what we are looking for.

Romex is ****? Wow.....where and how did you arrive at this opinion? I would use #14 ga. wire whether it's romex or other.
