Anyone here scored $25 off $25 today from Lowes earlier today?

I picked up an instore order with my 10/50 earlier today and the checkout person had a stack of paper, probably 15+ pages called 'unfulfilled orders'. with 'canceled' written on each line in handwriting (assuming as they killed orders). I sat out this one out, figuring Ellison & co would start blacklisting folks for this one. I buy too many building supplies to risk it.

You should have just ordered from a store you don’t frequent or like.

Still some available at Kentwood, MI store.

Too bad I already have one, as I have to hit that store up for a pick-up. I picked mine up at HD for like $8 a few years ago. The very first task I wanted to use it for, the tube wouldn't fit in the oil-fill (riding lawn mower). I know it could be useful, but I haven't been able to take full advantage of it.

Not too long ago, when I dabbled in older Mercedes...that's how they would change the oil...**** it up and out. For about the same price as the listed unit...I made my own out of a HD bucket/lid combo with some various sized tubing, a couple fittings, and a vacuum cleaner

The commercial units were called Topsider...or something to that effect.

The tubing OD/ID are really the key factor in usefulness...

If anyone needs a Kobalt 60 gallon compressor #54284 , RT. 9 Howell, New Jersey store has one even though its not listed. Was on the floor this morning around 11am it is next to the blue 60 gallon.

Also have a few of those vacuum pumps too...

Good Luck...

That's how us inboard boat guys do it. I agree the tube that comes with most of these is either too large in diameter or not enough wall thickness. I ended up replacing the tube with something more rigid that wouldn't collapse when inserted into a warm engine.

If my truck had the oil filter accessible from the top of the engine there would be no reason to crawl under a vehicle for oil changes. I've pulled the drain plug once to see how much was left and I only got a few drops.

Thanks, that's ruined it for me every buying one. I want one, absolutely will not pay the full price, and there's no way it'll ever clearance in WA for that price or anywhere close. :wtf: I think the corporate folks know we don't really have 'seasons' here so they never do seasonal clearances all that often.

I guess I'll check it every day in all the local stores just in case.
