Wow! A huge 40lb box arrived today with GJSS emblazoned on it. But as I picked it up and carried it in, it emitted a dismaying variety of clangs crashes and clunks. I thought I'd better open it right away, so fearing the worst, I peeled away the gaffer's tape to find nothing obviously amiss. It turned out the noise was coming from a steel box clearly full of tools, and a nylon pouch similarly stuffed. (I didn't open either one) I stopped unwrapping at that point and will await Christmas to continue. Gee, I wonder what's in that long aqua-wrapped package?
I was baffled by the wooden Binford truck -- did I somehow give the impression that I have small children? Fortunately, Santa had enclosed a card wherein it was revealed that the truck is actually a bird house, and a duplex at that. SWMBO immediately pointed out that we have a perfect place to put it, where our rambunctious 12 year old will be able to see it easily from two different windows.
The Montana items brought back fond memories of skiing, hiking and motorcycling.
More to come on Christmas Day!
