Put some shoes on. Someone posted here not to long ago about soaking an inoperable air tool in oil (or something similar) for a while and it worked fine. I'd try that first, if it doesn't work take it apart and clean it up and replace any broken parts.

Some guys swear by that 50/50 mixture of acetone and transmission fluid -- it might take the paint off though. :dunno:

I'm sure it must have been broken for someone to get ticked off enough to throw it up onto the roof. I would try soaking it in Kroil. Kroil unsticks everything.

Kroil comes in an orange can. It must be mail ordered from Kano labs at http://www.kanolabs.com/

I used to get the aerokroil in spraycans, but anymore I just get the gallon size and put it in sprayers. I also put some in a wide mouthed bottle for soaking parts.

Here is a photo from the web. Obviously the guy in the photo likes it too.

WD40 is a water displacer not a penetrating oil. Once you use Kroil or PB blaster you will never go back to WD40 again. If the cost and wait for Kroil is an issue try PB blaster. Not as good as Kroil but you can get it locally.

Kroil is $41.75 a gallon plus shipping. If it didn't work no one would buy it at that price, but they do.

:lol_hitti On the roof? Remind me to get a ladder out tommorrow at work!

Those are a good little saw. I've been using one for nearly 10 years and it's been rebuilt once and gets no oil ever ( I borrow it from a coworker:D).

Heck, for $69.00, turn it in and get it rebuilt.
