They are generated codes, so not "legit", might as well generate your own. If your store is participating in the crackdown they are unlikely to work.

Yes. I've got a few 6 months forwards going that I keep renewing (we moved twice, and I don't like the permanent forwards, as then USPS tell the spammers my new address. I just run the forwards until I know I've corrected all the important stuff).

For the $1 renewal fee at USPS, I get a 10% Lowes coupon and a $10 off any non-sale purchase of $10 or more at Ace. I've used 3x$10 at Ace in the last few months :)

So If you sign up on line and pay the dollar do they mail them of email them.
I got two for $2.00 On Ebay emailed to me as 2 PDF's. used in-store no questions. said something like lowes moving website on them.
IDK, if they are fake or what?
I'd probably feel better with the post office ones.
I was going to stop @ the PO but was having a bad day.

They are home done cobbled together PDFs. If you pull up the PDF in an editor, the barcode can box can typically moved to reveal what was there before

I have done tried it, but from extensive discussion on other boards I believe they email the code or a pdf.

They are probably generating the codes, then creating a fake coupon as a pdf (easy to do). As explained to me, that is coupon fraud - creating a coupon when you are not the merchant. I have heard of other cases with other merchants where people have been arrested for using such coupons, but I don't have any first hand knowledge of that.

You can get your own by filling out the card at the post office, but they will usually only do it once per address.

If it is the 10% discount you need, just ask at the store for a discount. Every associate is authorized to give a 10% discount and instructed to give them on request. If they do balk, tell them you will go to HD.

Personally, I prefer to just get the 10% discount in store than take a chance with fake coupons. FWIW, I have sometimes gotten more than 10% when I ask for a discount, depending on what I am buying. When I bought my tankless WH, I asked if he could do better on the price, he looked up their cost, and said he could only do 50% off :wtf: I was happy to save the $900 or so.

I suspect that even if confronted, when you explained the situation, they probably would not prosecute, but that is just my opinion. Lots of people are using coupons at Lowes that are clearly fake, and only recently has anyone reported any issues. If they are really starting to crack down, it may get harder, but it may also be isolated or store specific incidents and not reflect a general trend.

Yeah, Real nice Young girl, I'm always nice to her and all, Chat a little.
She's cool with me too, when I order on line, I always touch bases with her, If I am gonna be delayed picking up, like in this case.
I scored the Kobalt electric lawn mower , ~ $200.00 a while back.
She actually held it for me a good while. So I was at $192.12 OTD!!!!! with the sale and my coupon(s)
Well, & $2.00 for Two coupons............L0L........... But I even asked her abt. the coupon before I picked it up, She said shouldn't be A problem! Again, real sweet young lady.Even took me over (they were busy) and opened a register, and rung me out!!!!:thumbup:!!!!

It's said to be a one time use only, But I'm gonna XXXXXXXXX it out anyways. :beer:

Got a call that it would have to come freight due to weight. Then got a call a little while later saying they didn't have the quantity on hand and would be refunding.

Needed some extra tools for the house since the pole barn is 150ft away in the winter and sometimes a screwdriver isn't worth the walk. I wish this had visegrips and an adjustable instead of the allen wrenches but nice setup for under the sink.
