Has anyone done radiant floor heat with the regular RaceDeck floor tiles? Concerned that the tiles will severely decrease the efficiency of the radiant heat to the point that it is a waste of money.

I had a floor (water) heating in my house. It wasn't hooked up. When I got the quote to get it working vs. to install a brand new HVAC including duct work, the prices were different by $500. I ended up going with the HVAC.

Hi
I have radiant heat in my garage and it works great with the FreeFlow style flooring and allows the snow and road slop to melt away at night, so when I walk out to the garage in the morning it's all gone. In the area where I have our Diamondtile, you can definitely feel the warmth on your bare feet over the cold concrete just outside the door.

Think about how many people have radiant floor heat in bathrooms particularly and the concrete is covered with tile. No decrease in comfort and no issues, I don't see the difference. If you want radiant in-floor heating, get it. There really is no substitute. If you want RaceDeck get it. I say you are overthinking this one.
