Help identifying a tool chest

Here are some pictures of an old tool chest I have. I have no idea how old it is or what brand. I'd appreciate some help from some of you tool chest aficionados on some ideas what brand and maybe the era. The first picture is a faint image of something written, possibly a brand. Thanks

I’ve got the same model with different handles and I can see the remains of the Kennedy signature in the picture.

Yup. Those are the old drawer pulls but I don’t know when they switched to the current style...?

That is the Kennedy name brand.

Looks like Kennedy to me, too. Overall, it looks like it is in great shape. Nice!
Here is a similar one that sold on Ebay for $415. Notice the drawer handles and brand name signature in the same place as your box:

That's clearly a Kennedy, you can see the faint but still there "Kennedy" signature.

That faint image of a brand is "Kennedy" written in white cursive.

Does anyone know what model is this Kennedy tool box? I can find no model marking on the one I have at work. It seems like it should be a model 278, since I see the vintage 6 drawer version referred to as a model 276.

Any idea of what era these were with the front doors?

I think the first two numbers are 29 instead of 27.

Do maybe 298 ?

So a 298 then. I was surprised there were no model number markings in the usual spot like the later ones.

It is opposite of the Kennedy script. Front,Top right corner.
