Getting a Bosch thread going.. I’ll start with 2 reconditioned lasers currently available from the ‘ol Home Despot.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-F...el-with-Plumb-Points-GCL-2-160-S-RT/303552196
GCL 2-160, $99.97

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Bosch-F...ng-Cross-Line-Laser-Level-GLL-50-RT/303552214
GLL 50, $83.30

These are two decent little red lasers.. AND, to sweeten the pot, they’re both part of the $30 off $149 Bosch promo that just about everyone is carrying. They displayed as $83.61 (GCL) and $69.66 (GLL) in cart with Bosch discount.

Thanks for posting these, but I don’t see the promotion since they are less than $149. The promo price doesn’t appear in the cart for me.

Thanks for starting the thread, and I'll be interested to see how quickly it falls off the first page and dies. As a Bosch guy I have learned that there isn't much to be excited about with regards to big sales or new products, which means this thread might now get much attention.

Yes, you have to bring your cart up to $149. I suggest the 20 pack + pouch of daredevil spade bits for $20 and possibly some other consumable from Borsch.

I'm all in on Bosch cordless (12v & 18v). I'm a very satisfied user. But I agree with jonshonda that there isn't much to Bosch sales - just the occasional $20 off $100 or the current $30 off $150.

With that said, here's a couple nice buys right now:

Newly released Bosch cordless 18V HEPA vacuum
$99 at Lowes, or about $79 if you have a $20 off $100 coupon:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-2-6-...d-Shop-Vacuum-Battery-Not-Included/1000578253
This is an awesome vacuum! And I'm a vacuum nut. Quiet and powerful for its size. Great for using in confined spaces like the attic and crawlspace, or just for quick car detailing.

Brushless cordless 12V OMT (oscillating multi tool)
$79 most places, and can be combined with the $30 off $150 deal right now.
This was just $69 a few days ago at CPO's website, and my guess is it will go that low again. I bought mine on eBay from CPO with a 15% off coupon a few weeks ago. This is really cheap for a brushless bare tool from Bosch.
https://www.cpooutlets.com/bosch-go...ol--bare-tool-/bshngop12v-28n,default,pd.html

Newly released Colt 1.25HP trim router
$119 at Lowes, or about $99 if you have a $20 off $100 coupon:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Bosch-Colt-1-25-HP-Variable-Speed-Fixed-Corded-Router/999928328
***note that the version sold by Lowes includes a hard case and edge guide - the one sold elsewhere (Amazon, CPO, etc) is for the bare tool only.
This is an updated version of their Colt trim router which I also own. The old version's fine adjustment mechanism is so poor I would call it defective. The new version's fine adjustment is the best I've ever used - so precise and easy to use. New one also has LEDs. This is a big upgrade!

Nice find on the oscillating tool, love them starlocks

The vac is a good price.. but there are options out there that give +50% CFM.. (the Metabo and Hilti come to mind) ..and if you’re looking for a “compact HEPA” (not just a compact shop vac) you’re probably willing to shell out a bit more for the added performance.

The Bosch vacuum is great as a portable unit - but obviously not a replacement for a corded unit. I hadn't seen the Metabo you mentioned and it does look NICE! But it is almost the same size as my corded Fein, and actually larger capacity than my Nilfisk! It is probably great for a tradesperson but not for this homeowner - especially at 5x the price (after battery and charger).

IMO the new Bosch vacuum is an easy purchase decision for anyone already using the 18V products. Who doesn't want a small cordless HEPA vacuum for $80?

Another deal: great price on a "starter kit" for the new "core18v" batteries. This includes a 6.3ah battery and the new fast-charger:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/113040447989
The seller accepted my offer of $71 - plus I used one of the frequent 15% off coupons, so final price was about $60 shipped (no tax).

yeah, the metabo is def aimed towards tradesmen. There is a combo that I’m drooling over from Ohio Power Tool that includes vac, circ saw, 2 8ah and 4 4ah.. but it. Is. STEEP.. and I’m a tradesman

Most really cheap “bare tool” deals are worth it if you’re already on the platform. Especially if you’re constantly letting other 200 (300) lb gorrilas use your tools /grumblegrumble

Thanks again. I picked up the GCL 2 160 and a receiver to side my garage, and tile my bathroom and kitchen.

Frys has some good deals, use code NEWYEAR19 for 20% off up to $20 one time use per customer. Dont know if you have to order via Google express for the code to work or not.

EDIT: Yup could only get code to work via Google express as well as get free shipping, or any shipping to me for that matter.

Prices good through 9pm PST 1/18/19

Not a screaming deal, but maybe someone will be interested like I was...

I recently discovered this 12V Bosch tool sold overseas (not in USA):

https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B018YPET7C/

Delivered price is about $99 USD. The current price is the lowest its been on Amazon.de. There is a coupon for an additional $5 off (just check the "voucher" box under the price).

It comes with an L-Boxx and 3 discs (two for metal and one carbide for wood/plastic etc). In my case, I'm going to sell the L-boxx (retails for $50, should sell for about $30 - $40), bringing the total cost down to about $60 - $70.

This is called an angle grinder, but is actually more of a cutting tool due to the orientation of the handle and wheel. I have needed a tool like this for a while.

A few standout features: one of my only Bosch tools actually made in Germany, brushless motor, and really small.

I bought about 30 new L-Boxxes. All the #1 and #2 were in the $14-$18 range

Do you have source for me? I’d love some more l-boxes but have never seen them that cheap. I’d buy a dozen at that price

I've never seen a new L-Boxx for anywhere close to that price. I'd probably use them if they were that cheap.

I've sold L-Boxxes before locally for $30 - $40. The alternative is new from Amazon etc for $50 after tax.

I’m guessing they were minis. Zoro has Gedore branded L-Boxx Minis for about $16 each, minus coupons.

The 12V drill/impact combo kit just dropped from $169 to $109 after the $20 off $100 promo:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005GT0IWK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

This has been as low as $99 in the past. It might drop below there after the promo if Amazon drops their price some more...

This kit was my entry into the 12V line. I was surprised at how capable they are at a fraction of the size/weight. I now use my 12V drivers 90% of the time. They are easier to use and carry in confined spaces like my attic and crawlspace for jobs where I don't need 18V power.

This was the local tool store. They would price them way down at each Spring/Fall sale.
They finally realized that people just weren't buying them even marked down 30-40%. I walked in the store at one sale and one of the salesmen caught my eye and pointed to the stack. I looked and he said do you want them all? I think they had the #2 actually less than the #1 so I took all the #2 and about half the #1. With hundreds of people there, almost all the #1 were there the next day so they marked them down more and I took those.

People just aren't into buying those boxes.

I have to admit, I much prefer the Tanos T-Locks. We do use the Sortimo Metal boxes in a heavy construction business.

Thank you for the update. I prefer the L-boxes to the tanos and own 5 of them. One day I’ll add to my collection

Are you in SoCal? I may have quite a few available when I reorganize.
I primarily am moving away from them for tools and using the Tanos for that.

I'm primarily using the L-Boxxes for hardware and other items that aren't moved as much or in as big a stack. This is typical.

Some is but not all. And all the bosch refurb stuff I've bought from cpo was indistinguishable from new.

I tried buying a couple of refurb Bosch items from CPO and was disappointed with just how used the items were. Not worth the savings to me. To their credit, they took them back with no fuss.
