Help with Stihl 034 av

I purchased a used Stihl 034 AV. I am able to get the top cover off but was wondering about removing the rear cover to get to the air filter (access to the carb) and be able to get a socket on the spark plug.

Anyone with this saw...can you help me.

Just twist the knob on the air filer cover and it'll come off easily. If you want the full factory service manual send me a PM with your email address.

Your telling me I just need to turn the spring loaded knob above the handle? I did that and it didnt seem to want to come off

Yes, but maybe it's stuck with pitch and other ****. It helps to move the multipurpose switch down so it clears the cover.

Nevermind...I had to push it in and pull up on the cover...it was a little sticky at first
