Yea

Boxes generally sell for:
Top box 250-400
Middle box 100-200 when they pop up rare...
Bottom 200-400
Side box doesn’t look like snap on to me

So I’d say 550 you are patient and 900-1000 if you are not patient for the lot

Also condition is assumed to be great with prices listed above

Take it from someone who has owned matco, snap-on, and mac tool boxes carts and everything. YOU ARE PAYING FOR THAT LITTLE BADGE ON THE BOX AKA THE NAME. Now I'm not saying they are not great boxes but they are way overpriced. Now that being said the one you are looking at would be a great starter box but unless you see a snap on dealer regularly getting the slides warrantied would be difficult. Also look into extreme tool boxes. visit rockin tool boxes on facebook that guy sells great boxes (quality comparable to big names) and they are much cheaper, and also come with life time warranty.

This all being said before you buy a box make sure you have the tools to fill the box before you buy it.

If I was looking specifically for an older Snap On box then that specific one at that price is a great buy. That being said that’s a not so new box, I’m guessing at least 20 years old probably older. It likely won’t have the nice ball bearing slides which are amazing. If I were looking for the best box at that price range for a home garage then I’d just buy a brand new one from the likes of husky or as stated above, extreme tool boxes.

For a Snap On box in your location, that isn't a bad price. Check that slides are not broken, and work well. I paid much more for a smaller box lots of years ago.

Pay no attention to previous poster. Buy a larger box than needed. If you are a tool junkie like most of us on this site, you will have tools to fill it up when purchased, or will soon do so after purchase. That is a nice older box, and will be better constructed than a lot of newer boxes.

Just my opinion. I am looking to upgrade my grandson's & wife's boxes. To me that would be a great starter for my grandson who turns 8 next week. My wife deserves larger.

I say, "Go for it if you have $$ and box is in good shape."

400$ for that set up is a decent deal, provided everything works as it should. Around here the price would be double that or more. It's a 26" KRA set up, but you can do a lot with it.

If condition real good it worth it if it size/layout you want.
Would be easy sell for same or more down road if need upgrade and you couldn't do that with a husky or other chinese boxes .

Is that top box a Snappy box? Pulls look off, and I’m not used to seeing a depth reduction on a Snap On top box.

EDIT: Okay, found the top box in the Snap On catalog. Only 14 inches deep. Still odd to me that the pulls look so different in the photo. I wonder if it was purchased later.

If it's friction slide drawers $400 is a good deal.... If they're ball bearing sliders that's a smoking deal!

For $400 that will be a great deal. Looks to be more recent vintage as it has chrome on the drawer pulls. Also looks to be in very good shape. You will not get hurt on that combo for $400. Just don't think you'll load up a drawer with 3/4 Drive and have it glide; won't happen.

Enjoy it!

Check the locks, see if they work properly, make sure the casters roll well.

Make sure the hinge and lid supports/locks on the top box are in good condition and hold the lid open properly.

Looks to be worth that. Do check everything, and use it as a bargaining tool if they are in poor shape, but slides, locks and casters are available for free if you call snap on.

He did mention he would include the side cabinet. I already shaved $200 off the asking price, not really interested in talking him down more.

Those are the low end SO boxes
With that said, go look at them and if they are in decent or better condition then yes, it is worth the $400

If it was near me I would tell you it’s a bad deal and then go get them myself
