I will post a repeat from the previous thread of Truper metal 6cuft wheelbarrow for $31.49 https://www.lowes.com/pd/Truper-6-cu-ft-Steel-Wheelbarrow/1000002910 I picked one up and they still had about 10 of them unassembled on the shelf.
That's a great price. I told my wife there's no way I'm paying $70 for a freaking wheelbarrow but have never seen them so cheap. I figured I'd find one sooner or later at a garage sale and go with that.

Local store shows four on the shelf for $34 so with my mil mylowes it'll be cheap enough. Ordered!

I see why they are clearanced. Looks like the front end digs into ground. I wonder if there is a fix
The posts are just hollow square metal tubes so I am just going to cut them and weld them at an angle. You could probably just shorten them as well, or put some spacers between them and the wheel mount to lower it. In fact now that I think about it I have some 2x2's leaning against the wall waiting for a purpose.

Or maybe it was designed to do that?

When you dump the wheelbarrow you want the thing to stop rolling, and that front end part does that. It isn't going to interfere with your rolling it around the yard unless you push it with your arms extended above your head.

You "MAY" be able to modify it by cutting back the front but without looking at it in person I would not know..... Really not worth it for me if you have to modify it right out of the box. :wtf:

Read the reviews before buying, some customers who purchased this wheelbarrow complain about the front end "digging in" while using.

Might be just user error or expectations for a wheel barrel . But if it's decently built, clearanced at $31 and you need one....

Just to try to settle this. Here is a picture of the one I bought. https://i.imgur.com/jY7arTa.jpg This is how far you have to tilt it before the nose digs into the dirt. I have not modified the wheel barrow at all, but was planning to if I encountered the problems that the reviewers complained about. This feels like a very typical wheelbarrow to me, so my best guess is that the bad reviews were either from people with improperly assembled units, or just pure user error. As someone who has worked in a big box retail store, the possibility that random customers or even their in house assembler put it together wrong is VERY possible.

had to remove the s in https s for the picture to appear for me.

I think that is a much greater angle than everyone was thinking. For as long as wheelbarrows have been made, I think a company would realize the un-usefullness of not being able move it easily if it dug into the ground. Especially after implementing handles that could allow someone to lift in higher in transit.

The Worksharp Sharpener item # 905946 is on clearance at $52
I thought it’s worth a go. Looks a little made for tv but is highly reviewed.

Model Knife and Tool Sharpener https://www.lowes.com/pd/Model-Knife-and-Tool-Sharpener/1000293661

I have one, and cannot recommend it enough. I know some guys can sharpen blades by hand on a stone, but it is a skill I never could get the hang of. I bought one of these a few years ago, and now all of my knives are razor sharp at all times.

Looks like a mini belt sander. Does it remove a lot of blade material?

The Work Sharp is great, especially for that price. I have the Ken Onion edition and love it. I use it over my Lansky system almost all the time. I just keep the Lansky for a few knives I want a more traditional bevel on.

sorry in advance, I didn't get SKU's / pictures, but the Newington CT store had two tempting deals on Wednesday when I went through. Probably local only and sold already, but figure worth mentioning.

1. No-oil turker fryer marked $30 from $~$130. I think char-broil? One new in box, one looked complete but no box. was in the front on a clearance cart

2. Deck/yard propane fire pit/table. $30 from $150 or so. Used a 20lb bottle, was the square style that has the cover to make it a full table when fire isn't in use. Came with lava rocks and stuff too. was tucked in the main aisle next to the black friday/xmas displays that are lingering
