The 25,000 entry finally showed when you go to "My Points" now.

Strangely it would show if you selected "2019" for when it expired but refused to show in the normal section.

Anyway, Chat did my order with FREE Shipping but they seemed to have no clue what happened to the KMart Ship 3 deal as it should still be active.

Funny enough, I only did $0.01 OOP for MP because I figured at the time, didn't have enough for a shipping order and figured they may demand store pickup, which is difficult in my area. So figured, do barely anything in case deal fails miserably for me.

Just have to laugh that the order still worked and I never got to the store yet.

Oh wow, I think I just got it again! (The manual issuance yesterday didn't cancel out the automatic issuance last night.) :bounce: This may finally be coming to an end soon, from today's news, so spend it fast!

Damn I did not get the goodbye gift

I should not complain at all. It has been a great ride!

Does anybody know why Sears has such problems with refunds?

It always seems like they can never properly refund 100% even though they clearly started they would.

Like say an order was $24.98, they will strangely refund maybe $23.03 or something.

Always seems like you have to talk to your card & send them the chat logs providing you were told you were getting the complete refund.

Happens to me all the time. It appears to be related to paying part with freecash, coupon code, or points. If the points or freecash would be expired, they don't re-credit. A coupon code for a discount gets deducted from the refund. I had a refund yesterday for about $5, they deducted $.89. I've been just taking it, not worth chatting or calling again. Particularly since most of the time it was a coupon code or such anyway.

In my case though, it's always when it comes to credit card purchases.

Like an agent may say, due to the mix-up or whatever, we will give you free shipping but state I have to order, pay shipping, then get it refunded.

So shipping may be say $4.46 but they may refund only $4.01 to the card or some other amount. It seems like they often also forget to refund the sales tax, which at least in my state is refunded on a return.

I have not do a lot of refund, but this happened to me a while back. It was less than $1 but it was painful trying to get them to put it back in my card. I tried chatting but no luck. CS said they will put the money back, but it is BS. So I opened a case with my credit card, then the cc company worked with Sears to figure this out. After 2-3 months, I got a long report in the mail, they trace my transaction and agree to return my less than $1 back :lol_hitti

That is why I pay everything with credit card

Wow, I don't know if it's because my card is a Sears Mastercard or not, but the last time this happened, I just sent them the chat log, and just a few days later, they were like "Ok, entire charge reversed".

It does seem though that the Sears Mastercard has people who are "Sears Billing Disputes", which sounds like some people who must work specifically between Citi and Sears.

Sears' corporate accounting 'books' must be an absolute disaster.

Guess I should have called yesterday, as mine did appear today as well.
This is after the email chat said 5 times that I did not qualify.

I did get a second refund today since I opened a case with paypal against K-mart when they were delaying my refund for almost a month. Kmart never responded even though they did finally mail a check. So for that cancelled $40 order I got $40 in points and $80 refund.

Now to use them fast before the ship sinks.

Thinking about the extreme grip long and stubby 10 pc screwdriver set.
I have the 6 pc set and like them.

https://www.sears.com/craftsman-extreme-grip-10-piece-diamond-tip-screwdriver/p-00950838000P

I've heard a lot of good things about those, and especially since you already have some, I agree you should complete the set. IIRC the 6pc plus the 10pc contains all the different kinds; the other way to get all of them would've been to buy the 14pc set and then get the last 2 individually. (I looked into the different combinations when I was thinking about buying them a while back, but decided to prioritize other things.)

Nice! Plus I have a few spares from filler orders.
I just ordered the 10pc and another spare to use the $5 off $35.
Should be ready for pickup soon.

I really don't think any Customer Service had any clue of this promo at all.

If you asked Sears Chat, they claimed the deal did not exist again.

If you talked to SYW, you were told you had to pick up, you had to do a mimimum purchase OOP, or your order did not quality.

Not a single one those things CS stated were true, as all it required was pushing at least a single copper Abraham Lincoln through MasterPass to quality for the $25.

Amazing return on investment, $24.99 for $0.01, though. :lol_hitti

For anybody who didn't already do the Personal Shopper thing, apparently a new round of invitation emails has gone out to more people. This time there is a special code in the email that you have to use the app to send to your PS to request your $10 in points.

Thanks for the heads up @Hexen

I got an email saying that last year, I got ~$700 points earned :lol_hitti I do not have email for my wife account, but probably around the same amount. I wonder how much that translate in retail price because I always prioritize items on sale.

As I have been moving my tools (my son said "toys") into my new box, I have come to realize that I own a lot of tools, some of them I even forget that I have them :bounce:

EDIT: I see an email that says the PS is going to call? Or is there a different email? Not sure I want to talk with anyone during the day since I am working.

My email says:

Next steps: Click below to register! When your new Personal Shopper gives you a call, mention code PS012019 to activate your $10 FREECASH in points

I've kept a basic list of my Sears acquisitions since mid-2017, which includes full MSRPs, but I haven't added them up. There were some earlier in 2017 which I didn't keep track of in that list at the time, but the volume didn't ramp up till then.

Went looking for my yearly summary emails... I had pretty much given up on the time-wasting sparse games in 2016, only earned $0.75 and let it expire. 2017 was when the games got good.
2017 was ~$420
2018 was ~$730

These don't include the coupons and surprise points and such, too.

EDIT: I see an email that says the PS is going to call? Or is there a different email? Not sure I want to talk with anyone during the day since I am working.

Yep, that's the email. They aren't all going to be willing or able to call all their 'clients' promptly, so I think it's a good idea to send the code in the Personal Shopper app chat instead of waiting for the call, IMO. (Aside from calls being unnecessarily annoying anyway.)

Finally got all the refunds correctly from my Order Error a few days ago.

It didn't do too bad this time, it only left 17 cents from one item and 19 cents from another.

It was extremely confusing to verify all refunds as they seem to have to do a shipping refund, the one item canceled so that refunded automatically, then they had to verify the refund on the other item.

So far the card only shows the refund from the canceled item but order center clearly shows reversal of charges for the other items except obviously the mysterious 36 cents.

Next time I can not slack at all when ordering (if they still are around) and verify each and every step as it's too easy to get too confident.

Even when refunds aren't involved, I've noticed the Sears.com order center and the SYW.com order history have both been very inconsistent/unreliable/incoherent at how they show the amounts of money/points spent. And in the past couple months, some items I've bought in-store, using points, haven't made it into the in-store purchase history at all. The points history page and the order confirmation emails are the only things that seem reliable (except when the emails stopped coming for a while recently).

Funny you should mention that.

For some strange reason, the same order that said only 19 cents left over, now says 27 cents is left over now.

I'm not certain about the accuracy of the SYW points history either. Over the past several months the balance total at the top of that page has been between 11 and about 38 cents different than the running balance total showing on the right side of the details. Sometimes Sears.com shows one of those totals; sometimes it shows the other.

When I apply points to a purchase it's a toss up as to which total will be applied (regardless of what initially shows at the bottom of the cart when checkout is started). A couple times I got points credit for the larger total, then leaving the running balance total a negative.

And on a few days the two totals on the SYW history page agree. I've not cared enough to try to figure it out. It's just a few cents and not worth the time/effort. SYW points are all basically just found money!

Figures KMart had to end the Ship 3 Deal aas not sure if it will continue or not, but XTra seems to be paying out somewhat more than usual.

I seem to be hitting 200, 250, etc type amounts which is practically unheard of any more.

Only up to like $3 though, so not sure when I'd be able to do another order even if they kept Saver as lowest order was $14.37.

Interesting that my one order lists no tracking number and UPS My Choice also shows no package info, but it was delivered.

Totally! 2017 and 18 is definitely memorable!

Gotcha, will try using the app chat and will report back if I do get my $10.

Oh, that's right, I forgot it has been running a few cents off for a while... accurate on what you earn/spend, I meant, even if they can't get the total at the top of the page right. :p That page is where I look to see if points got taken properly on orders, and given properly by customer service or whatever. With the exception of the $25 that took something like 12 hours to show up in the points history yesterday, it usually updates the points history promptly.

PS: If you spend the total amount of points you have in your account according to the POS/cart when it's in a few-cents-off mode, you can actually end up with the balance a few cents negative until the next time you win/earn something, because the POS/cart part of the system uses the faulty total rather than the real total. That's happened to me several times since this glitch started a few months ago.

Does anyone have more info on the PS free shipping?

I am receiving conflicting info as others on FB seem to easily get it but my previous PS told me the item has to be on my area and they can't make price adjustments like price matching.

Yet another user said their PS did PM and didn't seem to care if items are local.

Probably some PSes are 'looser' than others with this, just like with the Sears.com chat reps. If yours isn't cooperating on this, and you've already gotten the $10 (to be sure not to mess that up), you could try changing PSes. I haven't seen detailed instructions on that and haven't tried it myself, but I think there's an option to do that on the ps.shopyourway.com site.

Yea, switched to the Welcome Center one, Mina.

She seems to even work Sat and later hours, at least as I'm EST and she's PST she said.

Seems to really respond and know the system.

Nice, so it did let you choose your replacement Personal Shopper instead of assigning another random one.

Not by default.

Found out on FB, you have to go to https://ps.shopyourway.com then click your name in upper right.

That basically brings up your profile/settings.

You will find a section that says "Opt Out" and you are ended with your current PS.

Then you go to:

https://syw.co/MinaTribble

It will have a button to activate her as your PS.

Funny you guys mention points total off with SYW.

I never usually had a problem but experiencing a strange issue now.

I had I $6.10 and jumped to $6.35 after doing the daily games.

Yet XTra was acting up and giving me WWAC Error Messages.

Now it's claiming my total at SYW & Sears is $7.05 yet the Points Breakdown area still says $6.35.

No clue where it's supposedly getting this extra 70 cents from.

Huh... I admit I have not been paying attention lately. I pretty much have stopped playing the games except the $1 or higher games and Wild Win Wednesday. I could have swear that my points has increased a little, but I thought maybe I am mistaken/forget how much I actually have. I only have less than $1 in total points, so it is not like I am gaining a lot.

Wow they really have this new PS program all messed up.

I said earlier how I switched to Mina and she told me that my previous PS that was just assigned to me and gave me the $10 is supposedly gone already.

It didn't even tell me she left. LoL

I was wondering why I got the $10 but ignored since.......

Do you mean the previous PS was fired? Maybe that was her saying goodbye to Sears, I am going to send all of my clients $10 lmao

Better use that points before they take it away..

Not completely sure, but I connected to my new PS and she said $10 for contacting her.

I said, previous PS already did that.

That's when she randomly said my previous PS is no longer at Sears.

For some strange reason she told me contacting her will still get me another $10, which I don't really understand. She also told my family member the same thing, so I know I didn't have miscommunication with her.

We don't see any new $10 but she said within 72 hours.

I heard a week or two ago on SD that the new batch of corporate-employee personal shoppers are mostly recent college grads, and soon-to-be college grads on an internship. So I'm not surprised if they don't stick around long - I'd expect they'll be constantly job-hunting on the side for something with more of a future.

internship at Sears? I'm not sure I'd hire an employee that went that route. I'd be thinking they never read a paper or the news in the last year. Then again, maybe they are trying to be the next Fast Eddie
