Snap on players

So I’ve been looking for new(different) pliers and the snap on 91acp looked pretty decent.I did some research and watched a few YouTube videos and decided to get a pair.Got them of eBay for 30$.And so far so good, they are nicely balanced and I like the teeth design.
Anyone of you guys that has been using them for a while and can give me some feedback?

I'm just curious why he chose the Snap-on version --- I'm sure he had a good reason.

Both are great brands. I give the quality edge to Snap on because I think the steel is better and the jaws will stay sharper longer. The Channellocks will certainly do the job so to me the question is pro vs non pro. I think the SO are pro tools and the Channellocks are not quite as good, but they certainly are great tools.

Of course I love the red comfortable grips

But Neither can compare to Craftsman slipjoint pliers made by western forge.

They might be made Wilde today, but what about 3 years from now? A company like Tekton may decide they can gain more profit and provide a better value to their customers by switching suppliers. Meanwhile, your Wilde made pliers are worn out or broken but you don't like the new Tekton version; what do you do?

What I have found beside the comfort grips is the pliers stay true (maintain solid no slop) for a very long time, then again mine have not worn out yet.

Tekton makes good quality, cheaper stuff. I wouldn't use them to make money with them but they are great for your DIY mechanic in the house garage.

If a pair of pliers are used so much that they wear our in three years, the decent, morally-grounded human buys a new pair! So if the current brand doesn’t sell the same ones one looks elsewhere.

I had a look at some on the van, theyre nice compared to cheap brands, much more solid than my Stanley ones, but for the money I would buy knipex.

I have the older version, 90AP, i use them everyday and they are pretty good, i hate the finish on new chanellocks, and i would never buy them, just personal preference though.

Same, I moved from Germany over here a few years ago and I honestly wouldn’t even get knipex.The knipex wire cutters are decent but that’s about it.
