Oil or Trans cooler with 3/4" ends

Looking for a oil or trans cooler with 3/4" ends for a air compressor aftercooler project anyone know where to get one?

Look on Rockauto, A1A, Partsgeek etc and see the listed cooler and end diameters. You might need to step up the fitting size to get to 3/4"?

I have this Sullair cooler and it has large end fittings, not exactly sure the size, this would be a high end cooler setup.

Recently when I was looking for a radiator to fit a little truck that had none, all I had was measurements based on the space I had and the size hoses on it. Summit Racing had tens of thousands to look through and have all the size info listed in the product description. I spent three evenings I think and somewheres around the 30th page I had found about three that could work and one that was perfect. I then took the parts numbers of those four and punched em in different parts sites till I found the best overall deal (Best price/fitment). Ended up buying from Rock Auto but without Summits site being laid out like that I may never have tracked down something without getting one made for about triple the cost. I think I ended up with a Geo Metro rad, and it fits great in my mini truck. :beer: That technique worked great for me, was a bit time consuming but oh well, still cheaper than buying Oem from Japan or getting something made...Edit: Go here https://www.summitracing.com/int/se...=Ascending&N=4294950709+4294949337+4294949338

Look at the Hayden brand coolers. I know the Hayden 1260 has 3/4in fittings as that was what I planned on using.

Hayden are the ones I came across however they are not plate design which I don't know if that matter a ton. I want 3/4" in/out because that is what the pipe size is from the pump to tank no bottle necks reducing flow.

Look at hot water heat coils. About any size you want and they will be rated for operating pressures double what you need.

My experience is that Summit will price match.

If I am using Summit as a lookup resource, I always give them a fair shot at getting my business.

A simple phone call to them is all it takes.

They did price match, all was fine and dandy, bear in mind Im international their shipping was double Rock Autos and was going to take longer.

I order from both quite regularly, Summit for universal stuff and Rock auto for specific fitment. In this case I was not justifying waiting longer and paying a lot more.

Once again I order from them regularly, I totally understand the concept. If it makes it better I ordered some universal coils and other suspension components which cost about double the radiator a week later from Summit for the same project.

OP Sorry to hijack your thread here didn't wanna look like a ****, had to try to show my justification :spit:

Better be carefull. Whats the working pressure of the cooler?

Fyi the coolers on automatic transmissions are basicly vented to atmosphere. The only pressure is built from back pressure of the fluid.

I looked in the question section of the listing on Amazon - someone stated they contacted Hayden and was informed the max pressure is 150 PSI. Little close for my taste especially if you have a 175 PSI two stage.

You're right, but I've read both a 150 and a 300 rating (which is of course fluid, not air). I had already backed off the tank pressure from 175 to 150 to cut down on wear and tear before I decided to install this cooler anyays. And hey - at least it's not PVC. :)

Of note, huge benefit to turning your pressure switch down to 120/130psig. Less heat into everything.
