Looks like it's narrowed down to even fewer stores now that must be getting hammered by Menards 11% (or 15% this week) sale

https://www.lowes.com/pdf/11rebate.pdf?int_cmp=Home:A:NoDivision:Other:FW49_11_Rebate

You must be logged into one of the participating stores in order to see the banner. Looks like 2manytools is in one of those markets.

Didn't even think of that. Yes I am in Menards land. While browsing a remote store for a couple items, the home page did not display the offer.

could you post a link, i can't seem to find them on the website

Google :
Lowe’s item # 1026242

If the item is on clearance, sometimes they will remove it off their website. You can still search for it through google and you’ll be able to get to the item.

Yeah, unfortunately it's been since last may since they've matched the 11%. I guess this is promising that they've brought it back in the smaller markets (where Menards seems to have an advantage due to their diversity of selection). But still bummed my market got left out this round despite having 3 Menards with 20 miles of each other.

Btw, I agree, most of those Lowe's store are dead.

I picked up this cart last week, paid about 150 out the door with a coupon. I would say yes its larger than its HF competitor, but i prefer this cart over the HF unit any day. It is built very well, solid frame construction, and rolled lips on the drawers. I prefer the soft close slides with a detent vs the HF latch.

I plan to use this as a box in my basement next to my work bench. It will fit just fine and store more than i need. The big box can stay in the garage and i wont have to be shimmying past my wifes vehicle to get to the my larger box anymore.

So I bought the last cart in the Atlanta area, bought online and was expecting the order to be cancelled given my past experience on clearance items with quantity of 1. Arrived at the store, it was sitting by the door still in the box which has a wood bottom to support the casters. Loaded it in the back of my burb and drove home somewhat excited. Of course my luck strikes again. When I opened the box, it was clear a fork lift had its way with the bottom . The 2 rear legs are wrinkled and one of the bottom cross members is bowed. Not terrible but disappointed, test rolled around the garage and it seems to roll ok so I will keep it. Besides the issues I had, would recommend this cart at the $139 price. It is a level or two nicer then the hf cart, comes assembled and has a lever so one can lock the drawers independent of the top which can be handy for rolling around.

Does the large orange CLEARANCE tag mean anything? I looked around and most places didn't have it, and a few were on sale for 10-35% off, but I only saw one that had the clearance tag on it. Wondering if I should look there physically to see if it's $199-299.

FYI, I took a picture but can't figure out how to upload it.

"Hitachi Power Tools was sold by its parent company and can no longer use the Hitachi name. All Hitachi pneumatics, collated nails, compressors, power tools and accessories will transition to the Metabo HPT brand in 2019. Information on rollout timing and item-level specifics will be shared in the coming weeks."

So if you're in the market for almost anything Hitachi (maybe not a Hitachi magic wand), wait around a few months.

This was a first. Has anyone found the price in store to be lower than the price on Lowes.com for that particular store ? Brickseek showed a price of 198.00
for a fridge. Online (same store) showed 683.00. Thought I'd test the water (surely brickseek must be wrong) Checked the internal and sure enough 198.00. I had never seen that before.

I mentioned this in a post right before end of year. And I know exactly the refrigerator you’re referring to. Because I couldn’t get a head cashier to ring me up over the phone (because they were busy) I went ahead and ordered it online for the $683 (with the orange clearance sign) in hopes of paying in store ($198) when I returned from my trip a couple of weeks later. Went in the store today and the store manager tells me he doesn’t even have a record of the price going that low. They are currently OOS and so the price has gone back to the manufacturers price for 2-3 day delivery. I messed up by not taking the Head cashiers name.

Last night we were selling 25ft 16ga triple tap extension cords for $3.49. Also the Craftsman cordless 20V angle grinders price was lowered to $59. Jim

Is Lowes just bringing in new models of kobalt or slowly taking it off the shelves?. Both my locals have replaced most kobalt hand tools with craftsman and have kobalt stuff clearenced. Have heard some say kobalt is getting canned other's saying it's not since it's Lowes brand...

Kobalt is being phased out in favor of Craftsman.

OT: I think it's a terrible idea for Lowes. Craftsman quality is going downhill and everyone knows it, and the bright red aesthetic really doesn't look right inside the dark blue Lowes stores.

Agreed 100% Does anyone know how existing Kobalt tools with lifetime warranties will be handled?

Actually that's the complete opposite way Craftsman (SBD) is going...they are bringing back Made in USA tools and opening up USA plants all over the country. They understand low qualiity/ Chinese made tools aren't going to be a good investment.

That is their (Stanley B&D) promise.

Unless Lowe's introduces open stock soon to honor walk-in warranty exchanges, it may not matter. People are already getting PO'd.

Out of stock Open Stock is the reason I left Craftsman in the early 90's. I could not get a replacement metric tool for almost 3 years straight.

Do you have anything to back this up? Because this is the first I have heard about this and I am pretty up on my tools. I have read that they "want to" but nothing that says they are

Just look at all the "made in the USA " stickers on all the new craftsman stuff for proof. Technically, they're made in the U.S with "global" (Chinese) components

I don't like any of the new SBD Craftsman offerings so far myself but I have seen quite a few of the Made in the USA symbols on there products at Lowe's.

They also list it right on Craftsman.com

I believe that the facility in MA is open and making some saw blades. They are very transparent about all of this.

Yes they opened a factory in Missouri last year, Massachusettes at end of year and should open at least another this year. They are doing some rebrand stuff right now as well. All the Craftsman snowblowers at Lowes are currently being made by MTD if I am not mistaken...which is made in USA as well. This was a big purchase by SBD and will take time to fully roll out. I can appreciate them wanting to make a better product as the Sears Craftsman line has been **** for a few years now
