I guess it means something different to some, but today I changed the truck under my service truck. Huge job, and honestly I hope to never do it again. The gap in between the headache rack and box will be filled in as a flat deck that the welder and compressor will sit on, one on each side. Tomorrow hopefully I can get the deck done , bolt/weld the box down, and hook the electrical back up. Then it's time to get to work

Nice project there. Will be great space for the welder and compressor when finished. In for more pics to see the overall layout of the service truck.

Looks like you need to scoot it forward a little bit.

That's where the welder and compressor will sit, I'm getting too old to climb in the back to start those. It will also be nice to go from maybe 600ft/lbs of torque to 1650ft/lbs of torque. The old Ford was about maxed out.

Great stuff, what are you using for the main lift? I see a crane truck and a trailer-mounted-crane (?).

You even got a sleeper cab :)

We put the bigger crane on the back of the box and the other is a truck mounted pole digger box. It's only about a 10,000lb crane, has a huge auger for drilling and setting power poles.

Built the front deck today, also got the hydraulics hooked up so the crane is functional again. Felt like I was missing an arm without it, amazing how much it gets used. The rest of the box is really in need of some cleaning and painting, hopefully this summer as it don't fit in my shop
