Already up, but I found some pictures of it going up.

Slab poured:

It was raining so I couldn’t get a crane in the yard, so we lifted as much as we could with the fork lift, then used the winch on the truck to stand them up.

Red iron up: Bonus points if you can ID the car.

Okay you had me with the great looking shop and the adapt/improvise/overcome to get the metal up.......BUT......tell us about them solar panels.

I am looking to solar our house. Do you have it up and running yet? How much power are putting out and what was the total cost?

Thanks.

Oh and nice truck suspension articulation

tell us about them solar panels.

Its a 6.3 KW system that produces about 1050 KWH in the summer and 750 KWH in the winter. With my electric rates that's a little over $100 in summer and about $40 in the winter.

Cost in rough numbers was about $45,000 installed (had to use licensed contractor to get rebate)

Utility rebate about $19,000
State tax credit $1000
Federal tax credit $13,000

Net cost about $12,000 if I get all the tax credits the solar company said I would.

I have been considering solar add on but my local guy says the rebate and credits are no where near that much but I live in SW Missouri. Do you have battery storage system or are you selling to the grid?

I am grid tied. My utility offer net metering, so that was the most ecconomical, the batteries and inverters were about $12,000 more if I wanted both grid tied and batttery system. Only disavatage is I can't get power from the solar panels if therre is a power failure.

nice shop! filled up kinda fast it seems. lol

I know, in an attempt to get some of the junk out of the shop, I built a 25 x 60 lean to on the back of the building. Footprint is now 60x 60

Footings dug:

3’ x 3’ pads under the columns. Old footing is drilled and new rebar epoxied to it.

I rented a ‘hoe when I built the garage, this time I built one for my tractor:

Money is tight, so the concrete will have to wait.

That is a great building, awesome job. I bookmarked this thread its such a great building. Looks like a great place to work on cars, trucks and do some serious metalworking/welding.
