Opinions on floor mat from Uline

Hey guys I recently found out that I have a connection that works at Uline and I can get things much cheaper (still waiting on a quote). One of the things they sell is rolls of garage floor mats. They offer diamond or coin and grey or black color. the mat is not very thick either at only .075". I run a small partime detailing business out of my garage and I also wrench on my own cars. I was wondering if you guys think this mat will hold up to oil, grease, brake fluid etc. Im guessing I will need to glue down the seems to keep the water from going underneath the mats. Anyone opinions on durability would be great.

Well I just got the quote and he can get them for $250 a roll. Guess I have to decide if I am going to end up destroying them while working on my car. Lol thanks for the help.

$250 a roll?? If he can sell that exact roll for $250 a roll, something is wrong. Either he got stuck with some and is selling below cost; he's selling you a different product or he's making a HUGE mistake. I can't buy them FOB for that

Justin what automotive chemical tend to damage the pvc flooring? Gas, oil, brake fluid, bbrake Klein)Does it usually discolor the floor or does it "eat" the pvc? I'm aware of the tire marks and I would probably go with black for that reason.

Uline sells all kinds of different stuff and is a huge company. They are not a flooring company. He gets an employee discount on almost everything and that is what he can get them for. I detail cars and he is getting me 2 1/2 gallon jugs with a spigot on it for my products. They sell for $15 on their website and he can get them for $4. His cousin wanted some sort of shrink wrap machine. It sells for $125 on their website and he is getting it for $20.

Regarding pricing

I have a very intricate knowledge of how BLT's pricing works. I also know where we sit on the food chain. I can tell you with 100% certainty that the number he is giving you is below the distributor cost. Now.... I can tell you that I am sure if I called up and said it was for me personally it would be a different story. Just be careful and if he is getting you some sort of 'display' pricing I would not publish it on the forums.

Regarding the Product

Gas will destroy it.
Oil cleans off it fairly well
Have not tested (personally) brake fluid
Have used brake cleaner on it and it has handled it will over the short duration

The biggest thing is stains from tires on the gray and the sandstone and dealing with expansion and contraction.

865 sq ft. I'm leaning towards tiles because I have the TLPPC on my floor that needs to be ground off. I just never have the time to remove everything from my garage grind and install the epoxy. Just never seem to have the money. Some more important always comes up. Lol

zio - I would take Justin's advice, and maybe edit your posts as to not attract the wrong kind of attention to your discount. Normally when employees receive an employee discount, they are NOT FOR RESALE... and it will get shut down quick. I had the same thing happen to me, I was buying Kurig machines and coffee by the case from someone at employee pricing and eventually the employer figured out what was going on (because I wasn't the only one) and put an end to it. No need to raise awareness on the discount if it doesn't add value to the question about the quality of the product. Just my $0.02 - sounds like you have a great opportunity!

Thanks. I tried deleting them yesterday and now they are back. I deleted them again and hopefully they will stay gone for good. Lol thanks for the advice. I don't want to get anyone in trouble.
