Jay: yep i GET LUCKY every now and then.

After getting the 1/2” version of these and being impressed with it, these came up for $10 a piece. 1/4” needs to be taken apart and lubricated. The V selector is stuck in the middle. No biggie.
Can’t wait to put them into regular use!

Does anyone recognize this or know what should be in the set? It would also be icing on the cake to know what box would have originally housed this set.
Craigslist find for $50. Turned out to be a '92 Waterloo, modified casters. Before and after. Some Mac and Snap On tools I don't need that were left behind will undoubtedly more than pay for the box. So ultimately, essentially free or maybe even came out a little ahead.

I don't need it, per se, but the WWII GMTK 1/2-inch drive socket set went up to 1-1/8", and the that socket and the 1-1/16" are not always easy to find, so I usually pick them up no matter what if they're a desirable brand.Lug: I love the quality of old Williams wrenches and sockets. did it complete a set or just the only thing worth bargaining for?
Jeff, did you post that box on the vintage box thread? or is that new? looks great!
Dang, Jeff. I thought I got a good deal for the same box at $70. Well done and nice resto too!
that socket and the 1-1/16" are not always easy to find,.
Here’s a scan from the 1960 catalog (=V= era), but the -V- era box should have a similar list. The smaller size sockets stack inside the larger sockets to make more room.

And here’s the complete list of sockets available in 1960.

Am I the only person not seeing the scans jake mentions?
Not sure why you can’t see the pictures as they’re hosted on GJ’s site.
Try the links below, hopefully they’ll work.

Can’t see them in either of your posts Jake. Links aren’t working in the above post.
Maybe 3bay, Outlaw, bb or BB have better memories than me, but I think this could be an all-time Garage Sale first in terms of location!Fleamarketfinds from cold Fridaymorning in Lower Saxony

I've never seen it, shanny. Is that the Nazi ghost tank movie? I'll have to make a point of watching now and keep an eye out for that scene.Every time I watch White Tiger and the one tanker asks the other tanker to go get him the "27 by 32".......I always wonder how many Russian WW2 collectors are just dying to get their hands on a 27X32 to fill the collection out
Of course then i start to wonder if it's a DOE or DBE, and what wartime finish meant in Russia, and on and on and on
Tex & 3Bay: I'm using GOOGLE CHROME and I see them just fine. are you using Microsoft's explorer or their new browser?
Tex: I just saved the scans to my laptop and emailed them to you so check your email.
Jake: thanks for posting the scans!!
cheers
