I might be the only person in the world who wants 3/8" drive flip sockets. Pairs nicely with the Milwaukee 3/8" stubby impact. Took my wheels off no problem, and saves my 19mm deep socket from getting beat to hell.

From eBay? I was watching a set at a reasonable price but the stingy side of me was waiting for an eBay coupon. Interested in how much you like them after some use.

Some new tools. My local Rural King is now carrying a small selection of Tekton. I picked up the Torx for my ATV travel bag. The press and accessories or from Harbor Freight to do wheel bearings on the ATV

Nope, bought them from my SO dealer. I can't believe they're $120 on ebay! I paid $98 on the truck.

They took lug nuts off, and put them back on. Not sure what more I can ask from them. :lol_hitti

That's really steep when I've never understood the point of flip sockets over standard ones. Never needed one in my life

Snagged this like new (looks like it was used once to cut pavers or something) older HF 9" angler grinder at a pawn shop by my school. China, yes, $20, yes

Normal sockets don’t fit in every wheel. Do you understand now?

I've owned Volks, BBS, CCW, HRE and all sort of other custom wheels over the years and used lugs ranging from basic nuts to spline locks and 7 sided nuts and never had any clearance issue but that's obviously not every situation out there

Finally got some pics of my Christmas additions lol.
Ryobi impact bits, Capri tools hex sockets (SAE and Metric), Tekton screwdriver set and wire strippers, and an AstroAI multimeter.

Now I'll probably need a new tool box set up LOL.

Booties! Well maybe it’s not a tool, but it’s for my tool. 😬 I am a sucker for trying to protect it.

Short sockets from OEM and mid-length ones from Ares. Got em on Amazon for an average of $15 each set.

How would your 19mm socket get beat to hell if it doesn't even fit in your wheels? I'm still confused.

I don't want to use my 3/8" drive 19mm chrome socket on my 3/8" drive impact gun. So I bought a 3/8" drive impact socket designed specifically for removing lug nuts.

Two new ratcheting screwdrivers from Williams and Würth.

attachment.php

Pathetic Snap-on QC struck again: the first Williams I received was seized! They were quick to ship out a replacement, however, and it works well. It feels only a little behind the best ratcheting screwdriver mechanism I've used (PB Swiss). The size should come in handy, though I wish the bit-holder were even shorter. I bought Würth largely for the LED, but the (Felo-sourced?) handle feels great in both positions. I think it uses the Taiwanese 45T "Reverse Gear" mechanism that most of the higher-priced ratcheting screwdrivers from Asian and European brands (including other models from Würth) use today. Sold out on Würth's US website, but after my purchase they still have 1 left in a Florida warehouse.

How do you like the long pliers? Are the handles stiff so they don’t immediately touch themselves when squeezing? Debating between those and some double joint long pliers for extra clearance. I have no long reach pliers, but have gotten by long enough.

They are pretty stiff. Definitely have to give them some pressure before they touch. The 90 degree are a little softer than the 45 and straight. I’m also thinking about adding a set of double joint pliers as well.

Oh yeah all the way from Japan, saw it on amazon the other day and I’ve really been wanting to try the Koken extensions after seeing so many post in the koken thread but didn’t want to dive right into a set for the cost without getting a feel for them. Man i can tell you just by the fit and finish in my hand i will be investing in the full 3/8 and 1/4 set of these, they are super nice and the knurling feels amazing. Goes together with my wright 3440 like they were a mated pair [emoji108]7b1efb8b6ff2ff8c4365cd21cc90418d.jpg51f252d53973b59616a317f041a64b54.jpg

I finally bought a stilson, never owned one before but they were on offer and seemed like nice quality. I'm sure it will come in handy!

Yea you do have to think out where you are going.. I'm in southern Oregon so will be primarily used for moving big iron for fire suppression ( we are heavily involved in fire suppression) and then on call for general use off season moving logging equipment and the like around.

Thanks! Also, what do you think about the Carlyle Hex sockets? I have wera hex keys that I love, but their hex bit sockets are too over priced for me personally. I think cause of holding function nonesense they have with the ball detent. I don’t know. I saw like $100 for a non complete set of metric bit sockets.

That massive hex bit set from Carlyle got my eyes. It’s more money than I wanted to spend but it really has a lot going on in it.
