Here's a link to the entire build:

Here's a link to the **** (I mean, toys) in it:

It's been cleaned up a lot, since these pictures (about 2 months old), but it's still a work in progress.

A full bathroom will be in the one corner, behind the '53.

Sweet ! what size is it ?

sorry about that... I went and jumped in the shower and realized that I hadn't posted any of that.

She is 60x40x12, with a 4 on 12 pitch.

The middle rollup door is 10x10 (with the same on the other end), and the two outer ones are 8x10

I plan on putting a 4 post lift in it also, most likely a Bend Pak.

We live in an acreage subdivision, just outside a small town of 3900 people. Our lot is 210ft wide x 410ft deep (2 acres). We bought the lot next to us, for another two acres. Plan is to put a large pond on it.

It's a torsion bar suspension from a '76 Cordoba.

There is this company that use to make a bolt in crossmember for the '53, that allows you to bolt on the suspension pieces from the Cordoba, and similar body styles.

It is my wife's truck.

Question for you

Did you run water from the house, well, or put in a sperate well for your shop?

I am in the process of getting mine started, 32x64,,,,stick built and it will have water, bathroom, wet bar, etc

Just wondering how I should handle the water

I had water ran from before it runs into the house, back to the shop. I put two outside spigots, and they roughed in the plumbing, and ran the drainage back to the septic tank for the house. No well, there is rural water piped in.

My project, in the next few weeks, is to frame in the bathroom, and put a sink and toilet in... shower will be installed later.

Very nice spread! I am ready to get out of the burbs and into the country. That will be a few more years still.

Did you rebuild the 5.4 or have someone do it for you? Also, I am glad to see I am not the only one who reads 'tool tray' out of radiator support!! ha ha ha!

I got a new block and crank, a extra set of used heads, supplied all the parts for the block and heads (aftermarket rods, pistons, bearings, bigger valves, etc), and had a machine shop do the work on the block and heads (port, polish), and assemble it.

I pulled out the old motor (still have it), and installed the new.

It's only has a street tune on it at the moment (15lbs boost), as it has not been dyno tuned, but I have the pulleys for 20+lbs. There are plans for nitrous and a cage to be installed also.

I put 150k miles on the original motor before pulling it out... still ran fine. More passes and bottles of nitrous through it than I can count. Those trucks are indestructible.

That would seem like such an odd color combination, but I love it. What kind of siding is that?

yeah, we like it too. we wanted something with a little contrast, and it turned out a lot better than we ever imagined.

It's all metal, the siding, except for the stone, of course.

It looks like it matches the house closely - did you paint it? What profile of metal panel did you use?
Thanks!

did not paint it... was the color that was supplied by the maker of the siding.

Think it is called a reverse "U" panel.
