I will admit... the wheels are turning.

Thanks again for the suggestions, and positive responses. They *may* be available soon enough, just have to do some figuring, and a little revamping. The second prototype will be out soon, then we can go from there to all of those who are interested.

Very cool.

I asked in your garage build thread but never saw a response . . . what part of town do you live in? I grew up in Decatur, moved away, then moved back after finding myself unemployed as well.

So... things may come to fruition with this. I got some good numbers going, and I am trying to source out some materials, I will know soon enough if its going to be feasible. I have had an unbelievable response from what was supposed to be sort of a joke ( I posted this on 4 forums, and sent it out to my email distro list for the heck of it... )

I will likely need opinions on a few things in a few days, and will likely want it from you guys, who would actually USE this thing in a setting it would be built for... Garages. And yes, it will have a matching broom.

Thanks!

Sorry about not responding, havent looked at that thread in a while... I live kinda near Dekalb Farmers Market. I live in the corner area of North Decatur Road and Lawrenceville Highway/Scott Blvd.

You are back in the area? What part? What kind of work you looking for?

Nice work Stump!

This thread is being monitored. HF will have your dustpan in their stores next month for $3.99 (the SO version will be $399).

Is the front edge tapered or is it just the blunt edge of the steel? If its blunt, tapper it so that the finer particles will sweep into the pan.

Oh, and like everyone else.I'd take one if I wasn't unemployed and broke myself.

I'm with everyone else - WICKED DUSTPAN MAN!!! The "STUMP-PAN"

I think that you have found a way to make some money. Build stuff like that and sell it on ebay!!

Absolutely! Though we once thuoght that necessity was the mother of invention....turns out it's boredom!

Hell yeah, I'd buy your work in a heartbeat. Build up some more product/ inventory, get yourself a website going and you'll have just answered your employment question bro.... can't wait for the gov to spend out way out of this mess, pull'em sleeves up and make it the AMERICAN way!

TIme to put our $$$ where our mouthes are - anyone willing to put a deposit down to help him with materials?!:wtf::bounce:

Uh, dude? You're not supposed to make stuff. You live in the US, you are supposed to consume stuff made elsewhere. Somewhere someone went hungry because of your shortsightedness.

So now "QUALITY, MADE IN THE USA" stuff is what's wrong with the world...:wtf::lol_hitti

Oh, and like everyone else.I'd take one if I wasn't unemployed and broke myself.

You can be a distributor and get in on the money making! Stump could conceivably employ most of GJ as designers, planners, distributors, collections....
