Craftsman block grinder

Picked this up today from an auction. Looks and runs like it was used maybe once or twice. Can't wait to grind some metal with it. Needed someone to share my excitement with. Wife was not impressed. :)

Lakeview: nice looking block. 1/3 split phase or do tell?

also there is a giant thread where the BLOCK grinders usually get posted that might get you some KUDOS. post it up over there and that thread should always be at the top of the list cause members post on it almost daily. here's the link I just looked up for you so you can post yours and have a fun read about your new 50+ year old grinder.

Thanks! You are right. 1/3 hp split phase. I'll take some better pics and post them up on the thread you pointed out. Thanks again

Great find, looks to be in excellent condition.

I gave my son a 397-19580 that was on a stand that I wanted for my 1/2 hp. Craftsman grinder. Although it ran well the finish was pretty rough so he repainted it in a custom color (he works at a body shop).
