I'm thinking of getting a US General black locker and hanging it on my KRL722/791. If there was a Mernard local I would get that locker. Still waiting on Homak to put info on their site for the RSPro locker.

Does anyone here have a US General hanging on a Snap On box? If so any pics?

It’s not practical to do. I’m not sure why but when you bring the two boxes near one another they start to repel each other like opposing magnets. Even if you bolt them down to one another the paint will start to burn.

A coworker has a Masterforce set up with the locker. I do like it. He had to drive to Cheyenne from Denver to pick it up. I'm not that motivated to make the drive and scared the locker will show up damaged if I ship it.

I might call and see how they ship it and if by truck freight pick it up at the dock and inspect for damage before accepting it. I did that with my Northern air compressor.

Depending on which SO box you have you might have to fab a mount. I’ve got the Northern Tool branded side locker like the HF one on my KRA660. This box doesn’t have a pinchweld type of lip so I had to bend a piece of heavy sheet and trap it between the cab and the top box. There hasn’t been any type of anomaly since putting the two together with the exception of the clock spinning backwards and all the light switches working in the opposite direction now.

Dude that’s just the start. Do you ever mysteriously forget where you put your car keys? Yup...better off just separating it now and trying to sell the locker clean on CL.

Is Colorado one of them? I might just do it to become a outlaw.

Seriously I do have a problem paying $3k for a locker. The box was different but a locker I just can't do it. Can't find a cheap one local. $1200 for a red one was the best I've seen. My box and carts are black.

I might just buy another KRL722 when one pops up cheap, run a mini Mr. Big.

It's in the current NAPA Real Deals

I even called Homak because I wanted to see the installation instructions but they still haven't released them. I'll talk to Napa and see the status of them are. A few weeks ago there were none according to them.

Just think of how much tool box you could own - if you sold the whole SO set up, and went with US general instead.. two 56” roller cabs and top chest, joined with a locker on in the midddle, and one on each side side, (so 3 total, and yes you CAN buy extra shelves for them), a black US general cart with add on shelf, the 26” black bottom chest as a rolling drawer unit - and still money left over...

Maybe but don't care that much for them. They are ok. These are paid off.

A cheap locker just opens up, not much to go bad. I'm still on the locker hunt. One thing is I'm not buying a new Snap On locker. My guy will take $600 right of the top before any trades in.

Well I did it today. Couldn't get a good pic due to a truck in my bay. Will update pic for future searches.

Just today I put together a Kobalt bottom and a Husky top with a US General magnetic shelf on the side. Oh yeah, the bottom is 41" and the top is 36". Might drive some crazy but works well for me in the back annex.

I can only imagine, twice the wall space needed for the same drawer space. The only way a shallow box makes sense is if you garage is really narrow or you have a short ****.

Thank you for posting that, I have the HF side box and really wanted to switch to the locker as it offers so much more room but that's a lot bigger than would work for me.
