4x6 Band saw table

I recently picked up a good used 4x6 band saw. They type similar to what HF sells. But appears to be a little better made. Seems to work well but it doesn't have a table for vertical cutting. Anyone have a suggestion on how to make a table for this saw ??? Or can you buy one somewhere??

The table is just a piece of sheetmetal with a couple screw holes and an angle brace, IIRC. Mine got thrown under the bench and has never been installed. If I cut anything on it vertically I just rest it on the bottom blade guide foot. I second the recommendation to join the Yahoo group, there's more collective knowledge about these saws there than anywhere else.

I have that same jet saw. The vertical cutting table is pretty much a joke. It just isn't strong enough. mine ended up pretty bent up. I've just been slacking on getting some thicker metal to make a proper table for it. Other than that though the saw has been great. That does remind me i need to change the lube in there.

I changed mine awhile back, and was actually able to source the recommended Mobil SHC 634 synthetic gear oil at Enco.

This site: http://www.mini-lathe.com/Bandsaw/Bandsaw.htm shows a few modifications that can be made to a 4x6 bandsaw. About half way down it shows a cutting table he made.
