What products are surprised HF doesn't offer?

Regarding the chicks that work there...I have 2 HF's near me...each one about 22 miles from the other. BOTH of them have the stand-out hottie working there. I'm wondering if the district manager had this in his plan. They're both very friendly. I would <ahem> "coffee table" both of them, given the chance.

Any possibility of snagging a photo or two?

I wish anybody for that matter made 42" or 46" tall upper cabinets instead of the tiny 27", 30" 32" cabinets.

There's one girl working at my local HF that's sorta OK in the right light, but I'm pretty sure that the only skirt she owns is around the base of her mobile home.

Must have taken quite a bit of effort to copy the designs of all those tools and get them lined out in the picture just like the Milwaukee marketing materials does it.

Probably done in the same factory, so the guy just did what he was used to.

Rolmao at the manual chainsaw, garden hose/cord combo and cordless hammer. Hf really is a trashy tool store; remember, you have subtract from your savings on all of the incredibly cheap deals that you get, the losses on all of the completely worthless junk you get.

Also check this out. We put these up Sunday night. A lot of these new Bauer tools should be out in the next few months. Appears there is a 20v pump that will “rival” the Milwaukee transfer pump. Might be something work checking out.

A lot of these tools, for example the fan, handheld vacuum and little shop blower, look exactly like their Rioby counterpart. I'm absolutely sure it must be the same manufacturing facility providing both.

72 '' top box for the 72'' lower. seems like this would sell well. some people have also said they should have a hutch for the 72''.

It is in the works.

Ya beat me to it 619DioFan.

When I was shopping for my current box, I held out for awhile to see if HF would come out with a top-box. Ended up grabbing a 72" Frontier combo at Rural King. Great box for the money, but I think the HF is a bit beefier (except for the cheap black plastic thumb latches for the drawers).

The ladies at my HF are absolute sweethearts. They are always pleasant, go out of their way to help me and suggest ways to get things cheaper. Several have been there since the store opened and are real hustlers. I'd be proud to have any of them working in my business.

How about a replacement 65 inch blade for the Jet bandsaw I bought?
The girl told me "we don't sell parts".
I finally ordered two blades online and probably got a much better quality.
Every time I go to HF I swear I will never go back.

They sell a 40 piece 3/8" ratchet and socket set for $4.99. How much could they sell a socket for? 15 cents? The packaging would cost more than the tools.

I see your point but

The Pittsburg Pro brand is being pushed as a contender for professional tools. No pro is going to want to buy a complete set to replace the 10mm socket they left under the hood of the last car in the shop.

Would also be a good outlet for cheap wrenches to modify.

Hell even Tractor Supply.has open stock and Jobsmart is probably made in the same factory as Pittsburg

It's not just the packaging, they'd take a loss on stocking and handling big time. It would take 25cents of employee time just to locate the right peg for a 20 cent socket. It's never gonna happen, i don't know why people insist on it happening.

Hf employees are getting paid whether they work or not if they are on the clock. When I stop by my local HF, usually 4 or 5 employees on the floor, two working registers, one in back and two walking around talking and helping people. SO, YES, they have time to stock the damn shelves.

I was on the way to a job site and forgot that I needed a hard hat to be on the premises, (even though I was just there for a quick sound system installation). I stopped at a HF thinking I could pick up a cheap hard hat, but I was surprised to find that they don't sell 'em. They have all kinds of other PPE gear, but no hard hats.
Funny I just made the same surprising discovery. After banging my head for the last time on a truss in my attic, where I am doing some wiring, I figured a cheap hard hat or bump cap would be worth the 5-10 bucks that entry level ones go for. They have a reasonable stock of ppe but not that.

I look at Harbor Freight as a retailer of low cost, popular, fast selling goods.
Slower selling products, customer service, individual tools rather than sets, and replacement parts for their products don't appear to be their primary concern; as they would dent their labor costs, as well as floor space.
Along with virtually no spare parts which would require a whole staffed operation and discourage sales of more throw away products. Most of the requests here are contrary to their business model. I would never buy one if their new improved power tools that is just a few bucks cheaper than a name brand but has almost no warranty and no spares. That is why they are a few bucks cheaper.

Harbor freight sold individual sockets for a while about 8 years ago. I bought about 20 21mm and 19mm sockets along with the 24" breaker bars to put in all of my family's vehicles.

I have been racking my brain because recently there is a measuring tool and a sheet metal tool I was really surprised they didn't sell. A mag drill would be kind of cool though.

I remember those good old days! I had some replacement sockets on my list and was surprised to see they had a few. ONLY a few as they were all being clearanced out. I think I only found one size I was looking for. Next trip... they were all gone. :(

So for all of you suggesting individual tools, don't hold your breath, they tried it and for whatever reason it didn't work.
