Get ready for spring with some tomato cages!

shipping available.
These look useful. How wide are the arms? It looks like you can get extras, but there are multiple sizes.

But maybe they were actually marked down significantly. What was the true original price?

Specs says max width is 18 inches. Not sure if that's each arm or what.

I had seen a couple of deals on this thread, and had not been to my local Lowe's for a while, so I went yesterday (Route 1 in Alexandria, VA). It looked like a powerful tornado had gone through the tool department. Only one small display on clearance so far, not much of a selection, and not honking prices. It looks like all the display power tools are slated for replacement, so there may be some deals at some point. One clerk was gathering items like that into carts and pushing them into the back (I followed her in case there was a clearance area I missed), maybe they are going to get everything out of the way, fix the displays and then bring the clearance items back out to set up for sale. I guess I will have to keep checking back.

I saw pretty much the same thing today. Most of the Kobalt in carts. A few were laid out marked clearance but only 10-20% off.

Tools are durable goods. If all the Lowe's stores liquidated all their Kobalt tools at once, it would probably dampen the market for the Craftsman tools and hurt the launch of the new SBD line.

Lowe's might be shipping tools to certain markets where they won't sell Craftsman for some time, or to an online-only warehouse. This would reduce the value decline in the Kobalt tools and avoid flooding the market with cheap hammers/pliers/drills.

Lowes enters into agreements regarding the disposition of products once they've reached the sellable lifespan. Vendors often provide some sort of reimbursement to the store for returning unsold merchandise or even pay Lowes to have it physically destroyed.

Anyone ever see this? "Due to adverse conditions, this item must be parcel shipped or purchased in store."

You’re a little late to the party? About 8 other posts have discussed this over the past three weeks. Use the Search this Thread near the top of the page to find them. Good Luck!

A lot of the unsold stuff will start popping up on sites like Woot and tool wholesalers.

Picked up some tomato cages today for my wife. I'm quite concerned with her wanting 12... Last year I couldn't even mow up around the garden as her tomato's took over...

The doors have fallen off these sheds on display at several of my local Lowes. For less than $65-100 it may be worth it depending on your application. Any more than that I suggest taking a look at one of the outdoor displays setup in the parking lot. One may wish to invest time and effort into another product depending on your preferences and the application.

Has anyone else experienced a Lowes who places their non-stock items on a rack labeled "Clearance, Price as Marked" and then systematically refuses additional discounts even when nearly all items on the rack scan at MSRP?

Store Manager told me each store has a different algorithm-based price schedule for items designated non-stock and therefore the price would be as it scans in their system at the register. No additional discounts.

Maybe the managers don't want to spend resources dealing with these clearance items but they are knowingly charging full retail prices for items advertised as "Clearance."

Those arrow sheds aren’t much fun to assemble either. Make sure you are dead level or the predrilled holes won’t line up.

I keep getting

"Due to adverse conditions, this item must be parcel shipped or purchased in store" at everything one I checked

I got that at one store but I switched it to the store closest to my house and it went through. Hopefully it won't end up like the levels I never got.
I only see truck delivery, Checking a few more stores.

They replaced all of the kobalt garage stuff with craftsman. Most of it did not make it to clearance rack.
False alarm. Only two item son clearance. The rest went to last bay in same aisle. Rakes are on the way. Irwin wrenches have not moved. They sent an email about breaker boxes.

I have seen it go back to regular price but it was not on clearance. If they sell one at discount then it goes up. Hard to tell about it.

I went thru a Lowe’s today. The tool area was a disaster. Have the shelves were empty and several were blocked with carts full of stuff either being taken away or waiting to be put out. I left empty handed.

Contest time. Who had the most creative package for the rake? Mine came in this giant box with handle sticking out and between 50 and 100 air packs inside

At least it’s reinforced with half a roll of shipping tape [emoji23][emoji1787]

That is one of the funniest things I have seen on this forum. The person that packed that either has a great sense of humor or is some kind of special.

I was able to get one of the 24" irwin wrenches yesterday. It was marked $42 so I took it to one of the ladies and showed her the online price, she talked to a manager and said they could do $30 for it since it was a "non-stock item" and the last one they had in stock. Good enough for me so I bought it. While i was there they had an outside company doing inventory. Place was a mess

That rake packaging is awesome. My two came in yesterday, just wrapped in plastic and shipped.

My wife asked, "Why did you buy two rakes?"

I answer, "Because they were $3 each and free shipping."

She asked, "Do we need them?"

I answered, "Mother nature hasn't let me down yet. Come fall, the leaves will fall once again."

We own three acres, although I only maintain 1 of that. With that said, we have 18 trees "fencing" our house/backyard. So yeah, we'll, meaning I, will use them..

My wife said, "why are you getting another rake, we have one", I too said, because they were $3.....my defense was not as good. We have a total of 2 trees and 1/4 acre.... I can only justify it with the price. She makes fun of me because I own as many chainsaws as we have trees. :shocking:

My usual response is, "How many purses do you have?". Although she's been great about not buying **** in the past few years.
