Hi guys looking for information on a husky hex Drive socket set. Not too much information on these that I can find I have a complete set with the Speeders, extensions the number one ratchet. it's a great set missing the half inch socket unfortunately otherwise complete. any information anybody might have would be appreciated I believe it's 1927 because the patent numbers are on the ratchet.
If anyone knows where I can find that half inch socket I'd be a happy guy.
I can post pictures if anybody's interested.

Regarding patent numbers and dates -- one can safely say an item is no earlier than those dates, but recognize that the tool may have been made a number of years -- or decades -- after that date.

These are from 1924 (knurled handles),1925 or 26 (hex handles, pat pending) and small set 1927 . No issued patents on them.28 to 31 I believe had pat issued. Husky then bought out and really has existed only as a brand since.

Thanks for the information that clears a few things up I have the knurled handles but my ratchet has a bit more information and the picture you provided I also have a speeder with the hex handle which suggests it was probably an ad on at a later date nevertheless here are a couple of pictures if anyone has that half inch socket I would be willing to purchase thanks again.

You have the later style ratchet and box, looks like 28 to 31style. Speeder has later hex handle, half speeder and swivel grip extension is early version. Very rare stuff.

Very common in 20s, though 9/16 hex drive not a common size. Husky stuff very rare. Your set may have come with speeder, looks like it fits in the box.

Old thread but I did just happen to dig this out of my vintage wrench cabinet(long story but I've attained literally hundreds of wrenches over the years). It is the pre-1927 Husky socket set in Original case. The tool are all marked with the Pat. Pend. which was granted to Husky in 1927. And it does have the particular socket you are/were looking for.

Sell, of course. How much are they worth? I can almost guarantee that if you give me the real value I'll ask for much less. Was never a Husky collector and if you collect tools sets or Husky specifically they'd at least be appreciated.
