I purchased this 90" Williams Wrench shaped display board off ebay some time back. Its 24" wide at its widest. Earliest verified use of this is 1915 and latest use for this size of the 3 sizes they had is 1928. Its kinda hard to photograph, this is the top half of it and a brochure page showing it loaded. I'm in the process locating the wrenches that go on it using a list from a 1923 hardware catalog offering the board and the wrench part numbers that the board displayed. I got a list of the wrenches needed on the williams tool thread. https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=274782&page=21

This is about 80% of what I picked up. Getting to dark to take pictures of the rest. Did pretty good today.

With the leather handle I would be guessing the early heritage logo era, so late 40's

Thanks outlaw!

I did some digging and the hammers I found earlier are indeed made by Hackett Brass in Detroit. http://www.hackettbrass.com/Brass/index.html

Looks like they make them in copper or brass, steel tube or hickory handle and have been doing so for a long time.

Based on their chart I have a 1 lb, qty. two 2.5 lb, and a 4 lb. They are copper.

Picked up a paperweight, a pebble Plomb, and a tiny antique Mossberg at the flea this morning.

Bmwrd0- Aw, come on! Quit teasing: what’s inside? Is that longC?
Boofer- Thanks for the nod. Cool bell!
Wrenchguy- Awesome wrenchboard. Is it plywood, lithographed tin?

Inside this?

(The driver is unmarked but very nice and I have an extra hinge handle to go with the tommy bar)
And it was a long C day in general:

The DOE was in with a bundle of other open ends I bought, the Buck Rodgers push drill has all the bits in it still, and who can resist a good pair of linesman's dykes?
These were the other wrenches in the bundle

And the truly special find of the day

A Proto LA 1/2 ell handle! And you just can't have too many Klein bags.
All told I spent $13. Although I picked up a vintage 1/3hp motor for $10 more, but it is still in the back of my truck and I have no idea if it works as it needs a cord.

Its appears 2be 2 pieces solid pine board, nicely lettered by a professional.

hung next to door to house.

Showing head with some recent/long ago damage along with the top row of mounting peg holes. Its a total of 2.5" thick, 90" tall, 24" wide.

More great finds guys!

I just went to hit a local estate sale by owner only to find they weren't doing it today. Don't you love it when people are too damn lazy to remove their ads? Wish I could thank the clown properly for the waste of my time and gas. Oh well.

Several weeks ago I found this 3/4 inch S-K set at an estate sale. The sale was about 30 minutes from my house and didn't have pictures of any tools. I went anyway and wandered out to the outbuilding garage and began to dig around. I noticed a box of older hard hats and picked it up to get a look underneath and saw this S-K green box :). It was marked $30 and I thought it was probably a beat up 1/2" set or something like that. Opened it up and there was this set. It looks almost unused. After getting it home, I found the original price card in the box. It is interesting to note that the card says S-K Wayne while the box has a nice older S-K badge on the inside. Alas, I paid $3.50 more than the original price. It is missing the 1" socket, which I would like to eventually find. This is the most S-K 3/4 stuff I have ever seen in one place.

Mrs LS & I are running the bases (Allentown/Lancaster/Flourtown) today, playing musical carswap with our semi-autonomous children. Stopped at a couple spots along the first leg. Came away with some loot for $9.50. Hinsdale hex-drive rat, BluePoint DBE, Crescent dikes, Stanley No2712, C’man 8” pipewrench, 2 Bonney Zenel combos, and an anonymous tommy bar.

We stopped by the second day of Richmond,CA estate sale, since we were busy yesterday. Although the sale had been picked over, there were still some worthwhile tools. The first picture is everything, the second some Proto items. The next shot is a PowrKraft masonry bit set. The next shot is the Allen wrench set after cleaning and adding the missing hex key. The last two are Dunlap and Craftsman.

First time posting here/first tool pick from a flee. I know it's going to seem overpriced for you guys in the middle of the country that are used to getting a whole set of snap on for 20 bux, but trust me for SoCal I think I did really well.

-Almost complete set of long pattern full polish USA Husky (1/4-13/16, no 5/8 Craftsman pro SK made 9/16

-Armstrong offset 7/8-3/4 needed for alignments on my old cars

-Pair of Husky USA (SK Made) flare nut wrenches full polished.

-Craftsman =V= 1/4 swivel

-Craftsman 3/8 Stubby

-Proto long pattern 1/4 6-pt (for brake bleeding)

-Craftsman Pocket wrench

-Nice trimming shears.

Everything in really nice shape, $30 total. Would love to find the missing Husky 5/8 IMG_20190324_160028877.jpg

Tim, you are under $2 each for all quality tools. While not deep in USUC tritory, not a bad deal at all!

FTI the "trimmers" are surgical scissors, I believe for cutting bandages/clothes off.

And the red handled "wrench" has its best use as a handle for punches and chisels IMO. As a wrench, its one of the many annual "Xmas Specials" Sears marketed over the decades...

So I went to an estate sale close to work at lunch time three & half hours after it opened and came out with an early Blackhawk !/2" socket set, an unmarked unused rubber mallet, and last but not least a Wilton #820 "baby bullet" on a Power Arm Junior.:bounce:

You did good for 30.00. I do believe those USA Husky wrenches and Husky Flares were actually made by Proto for H.D., not S-K. The 7/16 shown in the photo looks like its missing the "=" on both sides of Husky, so that might not be USA, but they are nice wrenches. That stubby Craftsman nut driver is hard to find and go for pretty good money on Ebay.

What is the size on that ratchet drive plug. Appears to be a step down. Also if you would post the set once you have it sorted out in the Blackhawk forum. Nice find.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrenches 3061, 3070,

The set is 1/2", there are two stepped plugs; 1/2" to 9/16", and 1/2" to 5/8". I will post once sorted out.
